The glamour of the Gold Coast was on show with three projects recognised at a national awards ceremony showcasing the country’s best developers.
Celebrating the standout designs in the Asia Pacific real estate sector in the past year, the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Australia) is described as the “gold standard” in real estate and recognises the country’s finest developers and projects.
Developers behind a luxury villa project, a Miami-inspired mansion, and a showstopper tower were among the award-winners from the Gold Coast.

Monaco Property Group’s Capri Villas took out top honours, winning the best housing development (Australia) award and the best townhouse development (Queensland).

Monaco Property Group director Jonathan Grasso said the architects had taken a highly considered masterplanning approach to deliver a project that residents could be proud of.
“The esteemed architectural and design accolade serves as testament to Plus Architecture and BDA Architecture’s exceptional design of the villas and the masterplan as a whole,” he said.
“The masterplan design includes five unique villa designs, each with its own distinctive offering and individual aesthetic that responds to its location within the community.
“These luxury villas have been thoughtfully crafted with three or four bedrooms plus multipurpose room, and feature architecturally designed indoor-outdoor living spaces to suit the discerning downsizer or modern family.”

Capri, which is now 50 per cent sold, is Isle of Capri’s first large-scale residential project in more than 30 years.
The master planned community has notched up more than $56 million in sales since it hit the market just four months ago.
Located on a 1.2ha site, with dual street frontages onto Salerno and Elliott streets, Capri provides an inner city living option that has been met with unprecedented market demand with just 24 of the existing villas remaining priced from $2.19 million.

Meanwhile, residential developer Capital Luxury Residences (CLR) won the best waterfront development (Australia) category for its latest masterpiece Armorel, a six-bedroom mansion on the waterfront at Mermaid Waters.
Situated on a site with a 30m canal frontage, the home, which takes inspiration from USA’s Miami, was designed to take full advantage of the surrounds and maximise views of the city skyline.

“Our Mermaid Waters property – a residence we have named Armorel – draws inspiration from palatial properties I visited in Miami on the south-Florida coast, bringing that really elevated, glamorous, tropical style of luxury to Queensland’s Gold Coast.
“This has certainly been a labour of love this project which has taken more than 12 months in planning, design, sourcing materials and fixtures and fittings from various locations all around the world and finally, construction.”
