Gold Coast real estate: Huge price for Broady apartment

3/19 Broadbeach Blvd, Broadbeach has sold in a huge $6.5m deal.
A Gold Coast seller has pocketed a $3.35m profit on the sale of their beachfront apartment in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast.
Twelve bidders lined up for the 244sq m residence at 3/19 Broadbeach Blvd before the hammer came down at $6.5m on the weekend.

The house-sized apartment takes up the fifth floor.
The apartment has a 43sq m balcony.
Property records reveal the apartment was bought off-the-plan for $3.15m in January, 2018.
Marketing agent Tolemy Stevens of Coastal said the sale equated to a huge $26,639 per square metre.
“The beachfront price per square metre has been smashed for Broadbeach,” Mr Stevens said.
“I’ve had people ring me and tell me this is unheard of.
“It just shows the depth at the moment of the beachfront apartment market on the Gold Coast.”

It was the first time any of the full floor apartments in the residential-only building had been for sale.
The house-sized apartment takes out the entire fifth floor with plenty of luxury living space and unparalleled ocean frontage.
Nothing is off the wish list, with four spacious bedroom suites, a gourmet kitchen with butler’s pantry and open plan living and dining spaces.

The kitchen.
Other features include a lift, three secure basement car spaces and a 43sq m beachfront balcony.
“The views are postcard perfect and full-floor living is an extremely rare opportunity – they aren’t being built like this anymore,” Mr Stevens said.
There are also a range of in-house amenities, with a lap pool, sun lounges, barbecue alfresco area and lush gardens.
The highest sale in Broadbeach is $7.4m for the Ultra penthouse in June, 2033.
The penthouse had 1093sq m of living space across two levels.
