Inside the Gold Coast’s latest $8.3 million mega sale

A SPRAWLING mansion on the Gold Coast has made its sellers $2.1 million over three years after it sold under the hammer for $8.3 million over the weekend.
The property, at 1 Rowes Court, Sorrento previously sold for $6.2 million in early 2019.
The house, awarded Home of the Year 2007 by the Master Builders Association, is a boating enthusiast’s heaven with more than 67m of water frontage, a pontoon, jetty and boat ramp.

A theatre, games room, infinity-edge pool, study, gym, six-car basement garage and seven bathrooms are among its standout features.
It was built and designed by John Patterson from DBG after the former owners amalgamated two blocks they bought for $2 million in 2000.

The estate went to auction over the weekend through Sam Guo and Julia Kuo of Kollosche.
The hammer fell at $8.3 million after six potential buyers registered to bid.
Sorrento is a locality within the central suburb of Bundall, which is home to number of houses and a small restaurant and cafe precinct.
The locale is also home to some of the biggest riverfront mansions on the Coast with many trading for millions of dollars.

Mr Guo and Ms Kuo have had a stellar run of mega sales –. the pair, alongside Michael Kollosche, were behind the $13.6 million sale of sold 80 Admiralty Drive, Paradise Waters last month.
They also recently sold a Hope Island property for $3.8 million and a Runaway Bay property for $3.12 million.
