Gold Coast tobacco tycoon Travers ‘Candyman’ Beynon is selling his infamous party house, the “Candy Shop Mansion”.
The multi-millionaire businessman, owner and managing director of the Freechoice tobacco chain, is farewelling the trophy home to “start a new chapter” with the arrival of his baby boy in 2024.

For more than a decade, his Helensvale “Candy Shop Mansion” has been the talk of the Gold Coast with its annual parties.
Until the pandemic, it regularly hosted thousands of guests at a time – including one party in 2018, which saw the Candyman given a $13,000 council fine after complaints about a giant topless Virgin Mary statue.
Wild parties at his lavish mansion — which includes a 21-car garage, 250,000L infinity pool complete with swim-up bar, grotto and 27-tonne King Neptune statue — earnt Candyman a reputation as a Glitter Strip social scene legend.
Earlier this year, the 51-year-old made a bold return to the city’s social scene by throwing the “wildest party in the world” on Australia Day.
A self-styled “playboy”, Candyman rose to fame for his internet exploits showing off his wealth, extravagant lifestyle and the many women who are a part of his life.
A talented Aussie Rules player in his youth, he took up modelling when his football career came to an end due to an injury.
The colourful businessman now oversees an extensive property portfolio and a tobacconist shops empire.

Real estate agent Evan Molloy, of Hope Island Realty, is marketing Candyman’s property.
“With the news that renowned businessman Travers Beynon aka ‘The Candyman’ is expecting the arrival of a new baby boy in 2024, he has decided to start a new chapter in his remarkable life and is now, for the first time ever, offering the ‘Candy Shop Mansion’ to market,” he posted on social media.

The house, on a 5647sq m riverfront block, includes Mediterranean-inspired exteriors with ivy-clad finishes with intricate mosaic murals.
It’s understood Mr Beynon bought the property in 2010 before buying a neighbouring section in 2014. He then extended the mansion and tripled its size.

The 2230sq m floorplan includes 14 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, an opulent office and several entertaining areas designed to host lavish events and provide a luxurious lifestyle.

The property is being marketed via expressions of interest.
It follows a mammoth year of sales on the Gold Coast with Southport mansion Alston breaking the Qld auction record when it sold in September for $24.8m.
It came two months after a mansion on the Isle of Capri sold at auction for $24m.
