Mosaic Wins Approval for 18-Storey Burleigh Heads Tower

Mosaic Property Group has been given the go-ahead for an updated development application as it moves ahead with a Gold Coast project it acquired from another developer.

Isabel by Mosaic, planned for a site at 96 The Esplanade, Burleigh Heads, is an 18-storey residential development of 28 luxury apartments.

Original plans for the site were lodged by fellow developer Forme in 2021.

The application by Mosaic sought to adjust the floor-to-ceiling height after detailed design works and has now been approved by the City of Gold Coast.

The developer said that the floor-to-ceiling heights across the building needed to increase “to address servicing obligations” resulting in a maximum height of 54.45m above ground.

The revised height was described as “inconsequential and negligible” in the context of an 18-storey building.

Gatehouse Architects worked on updated plans but Isabel was designed by Koichi Takada Architects. The project is part of Mosaic’s Masterpiece Series.

At the end of October this year the south-east Queensland apartment developer announced it had secured $100 million in sales on the project.

Local and interstate buyers have acquired three and four-bedroom, half-floor and full-floor residences.

There are also two split-level penthouses, each with their own private rooftop pool.

Prices ranged $4.5 million to $10 million.

Mosaic’s building arm, Mosaic Construction, has begun early construction works and is targeting a late 2025 completion.

Elsewhere in Burleigh Heads, Gurner’s Burleigh Coast 18-storey tower has won approval while David Devine’s 24-storey luxury high-rise in North Burleigh was approved in April this year.
