Gold Coast real estate: Huge appetite for Isle of Capri property

A SPRAWLING waterfront mansion in Surfers Paradise has sold for $6m, making its seller $1.35m in two years.

Property records reveal Jeannene Boorne paid $4.65m in 2021 for the two-storey designer home at 38 Amalfi Drive on the Isle of Capri.

Situated within walking distance of the Glitter Strip entertainment precinct, the house offered a slice of waterfront living in one of Queensland’s most sought-after destinations.

The property stands out from the front with a mix of stone and timber.

Amir Prestige Group’s Marc Keswell handled both marketing campaigns and while he would not comment on the sale price, said the latest sale proved the prestige market was still strong.

“The Isle of Capri is one of the premier suburbs in the central Gold Coast and has got some record sales,” he said.

“It’s a very sought-after suburb from interstate buyers as well as locals.

“We get huge inquiries as there’s not much stock and it’s always tightly held.”

Inside has been meticulously designed.

The five-bedroom, five-bathroom house on Amalfi Drive has a waterfront swimming pool, its own private jetty, and views across the Nerang River to Surfers Paradise.

Ms Boorne said the home had undergone a major rebuild by its previous owners, with the property meticulously renovated and redesigned.

The result was a property where no expense has been spared and no detail overlooked.

The house has a stunning exterior design that includes the extensive use of timber and stone.

“I’d always planned to return to the Gold Coast as I just adore it, and when I walked in the front door of this house I fell in love,” she said.

“It’s just stunning. The timber is a work of art and the views that greet you of the river and Surfers Paradise skyline as you enter are simply a knockout.”

Inside, the property revolves around the entertainer’s lifestyle with each area of the home showcasing the stunning waterfront views.

Upstairs, there are private balconies off the main bedroom and a guest room which take in the river and city views, while three bedrooms have their own ensuites and the two remaining share a bathroom.

The Isle of Capri holds the title of the Gold Coast’s most expensive house which sold in 2020.

The estate at 41-45 The Promenade fetched a whopping $27 million.
