$2.95m Palm Beach stunner is next prize home

143 Tahiti Ave, Palm Beach
A prize home charity snapped up a striking renovated home in Palm Beach after the asking price was dropped by $600,000.
Queensland-based Yourtown secured the four-bedroom, two-bathroom Tahiti Ave home for $2.95m following a six-month marketing campaign with Coastal agent, Joel Madam.
Mr Madam said the charity was impressed with the high standard of inclusions throughout the “move-in ready” home, and would promote it through an upcoming prize home lottery.
The owners transformed an old 1970s build into a contemporary showstopper
Sellers Oliver and Megan Grant had acquired the 562 sqm corner block in April 2021 for $1.36m in April 2021, and transformed the existing dilapidated 1970s-built home into a contemporary showstopper.
It hit the market in September with a $3.6m price guide, which was later revised to offers over $2.999m.
Mr Madam said the sellers were pleased with the eventual sale price.
“This was an ultra-luxury residence with all the features, ready to move in and enjoy the Palm Beach lifestyle, so that made it ideal as a prize home,” he said.

The Grants engaged Tone Booth of Nucii for the home design, rebuilding the property from the ground up with top quality fixtures and finishes across two storeys of living space spanning 311 sqm.
“We moved into Palm Beach eight years ago and have witnessed its transformation,” Mr Grant said when they listed.
“The land has become so valuable that if you are renovating, you have to do it to the extent we have; anything less, and you’re doing a disservice to it.”
The kitchen has a bespoke buter’s pantry
There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms
The home’s internal curved walls and arches are a modern take on its retro past, while the original spiral staircase was re-imagined in spectacular style with custom balustrades.
A designer kitchen has Tasmanian Oak and Bay Leaf accents, along with premium stone benchtops and a butler’s pantry fit with bespoke shelving, skylight, and secure wine fridge.
There’s a work-from-home space with custom joinery and seating, while the dining area overlooks the precast saltwater pool flanked by a paved entertaining terrace.
“The builder had an open budget, so everything was done perfectly,” Mr Grant said.
“The finishes are very high, and the house is extremely unique.”
PropTrack data shows house prices in Palm Beach were up 8.5 per cent over the past 12 months to a median of $1.627m.
