Robina home sells for $4.6m, smashes suburb record

11 Pipers Point, Robina has sold for a suburb record of $4.6m.
A showstopper Robina property has sold for $4.6m, smashing the suburb record by almost $2m.
The sprawling two-level lakefront home at 11 Pipers Point hit the market in March and included a string of features from a private dance studio to an indoor swimming pool.
The property was marketed by Ben Williams of RE/MAX Regency – Gold Coast who said he received 15 offers and conducted 189 inspections.
“It absolutely smashed the previous record,” Mr Williams said.
“It’s an incredible price.”

The property has a dance studio.
As well as an indoor pool.
The buyer is an expat who had been living on the Gold Coast, Mr Williams said.
The sale eclipsed the previous suburb record of $2.85m, paid for 5 Pipers Point in June, 2022.
Mr Williams said Robina was gaining more traction with buyers able to get “more bang for their buck” in the central suburb.
“Prestige property in Robina is still really good value when you compare it to blue chip suburbs like Mermaid Waters or Burleigh,” he said.
“Robina is close to some of the best schools on the Coast, has Robina Town Centre and you’re still close to the water and beaches.”

Vendors Mei and Michael Hagen paid $2.4m for the home in 2014 after being drawn to its ambience and location.
“The first thing we saw was that incredible water view of the lake and it just felt so calm and peaceful,” Ms Hagen told the Gold Coast Bulletin when it first hit the market.

The house sits on a huge 2756sq m block.

“There are a lot of canals on the Gold Coast, but there aren’t that many where you can’t see houses across the way. Here, there was green space all around and it felt like a sanctuary.”
In 2019, the Hagens completed a major renovation that included adding an indoor pool and a private dance studio that doubles as a multipurpose area and has its own private Japanese-style steam room with outdoor bath.

“It’s close to shopping centres, schools and everything you need.”
