Resort-style living in Tallebudgera Valley.

Built of a full concrete and suspended slab construction and featuring banks of soaring arch windows, the house was designed by owners Gary and Julie McPherson, who drew on their travels to the USA and Europe for inspiration.
Featuring a classic white exterior with natural stone finishes and a Spanish terracotta tile and concrete roofline, the grand residence stands out against the green hues of the surrounding natural landscape.

There’s plenty of different areas to entertain.
The pool and tennis court.
The home’s interior is minimalist, in keeping with the warmer climate, yet utterly luxurious, with only quality materials such as Italian marble, brassware finishes and travertine tiling used throughout.
“It is the easiest house to live in and has a very hotel-like feel to it,” Mrs McPherson said.
When you arrive at the estate there are two main entrances. The top-level entrance gives access to the bedrooms and the lower-level services the kitchen, living and entertaining spaces.

Also creating a hotel-like feel is the commercial-grade kitchen, with a private caterer’s entrance, which Mrs McPherson said enabled them to entertain with ease.
“It is a beautiful family home which has given us some great family memories,” she said.
“Most recently we held a family wedding here, catering for more than 200 guests, which was very special.”
Offering 1300sq m of living area, finding space is certainly not an issue in this residence, which hosts five ensuited bedrooms.

Other features include a wellness centre with gym and mosaic-tiled steam room, snooker room, temperature-controlled wine cellar and showroom-style car gallery that can accommodate eight vehicles in addition to a four-car garage.
“The home has many separate entertaining areas, such as the Mediterranean courtyard that adjoins the living room and kitchen,” Mrs McPherson said.
“The other side of the living area opens onto a huge terrace that looks down over the pool and pool house, which is another amazing area.
“The sense of comfort and grandeur is truly special.”

And the steam room.
For all its outstanding design features, it is the estate’s private, peaceful, and serene setting that the McPhersons covet the most.
“Once you drive through the gates of the estate, you could be anywhere in the world,” Mr McPherson said.
“On one boundary we have 280m of creek frontage, which is quite unique and allows you to swim or even paddleboard.
“The view from the house is of mature olive trees, Canary Island date palms and the creek frontage with a backdrop of lush greenery and pine trees. It is a true privilege to live in such a perfect paradise.”
