Steph Rice joins race to find best beach home destination

Former Olympian Steph Rice in support of RSL Art Union prize draw

The Gold Coast is home to Australia’s best beaches — just ask QLD Olympic gold medallist Stephanie Rice.
Rice will go head-to-head with fellow swimmer James Magnussen, promoting the sunshine state over NSW as the best state to own a luxurious new beach home.
The former Aussie teammates and good friends are battling it out in support of RSL Art Union’s biggest ever beach house prize draw.

One lucky winner will choose an oceanfront dream home in either Tugun, or Palm Beach in Sydney’s upmarket Northern Beaches.
The prize package is valued at a whopping $6.2m.
For Team Tugun, Rice said living on the Gold Coast was a lifestyle choice.
“There’s a lot of things to like about this home. It’s expansive and open, yet private.
“It’s also beautifully suited for a young family or young couple,” she said.
“I love that this home has its own private entry to the beach.”

Meanwhile, NSW-born Magnussen backed Sydney as top choice.
“It’s the playground for the rich and famous and an exclusive location for successful Sydneysiders,” Magnussen said.
“Sydney is the face of Australia, so what better place to live? That’s why I’m backing this magnificent $6.2 million prize home package in Palm Beach. I can’t wait to see the look on the face of the winner whose life will be changed forever.”

The pair featured in a video campaign promoting the prize pool and the RSL Art Union’s support for veteran assistance programs.
The choice of one of the two prize home packages would be the biggest ever beach house prize offered by the RSL Art Union. Tickets are $5.
“It’s a fantastic enterprise. You can see from the amount of success enjoyed over the years through the incredible support they have been able to give to veterans,” Rice said.

Summer sorted on the Gold Coast.

Each property is professionally styled and furnished and offers luxury coastal living with spectacular ocean views.
