A hinterland property that has been the backdrop for the Godzilla Vs Kong movies is on the market.
A picturesque piece of hinterland rainforest used as a film location for Hollywood blockbusters has hit the market bringing lucrative income-earning potential.
The 103 acre estate at 43 Justins Ave on Tamborine Mountain can cite star credentials after being the backdrop for a number of box-office films, including Godzilla vs Kong, Dora the Explorer, Daybreakers and the Australian classic Kokoda.

Its potential new owners may need to keep an eye out for some monster action after it was announced earlier this year that a fifth movie in the Godzilla vs Kong series would be filmed on the Gold Coast.
Kara Christensen of Kollosche is marketing the property, which is open to expressions of interest, closing in July.
The next Godzilla Vs Kong movie will be filmed on the Gold Cost this year.
Ms Christensen said Mount Tamborine had become a preferred destination for film-makers since Covid, with Julia Roberts and George Clooney spotted filming romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise there in February.
“Film-makers love the location because it’s accessible, extremely private and the scenery is
beyond spectacular,” she said.
It is full of cascading waterfalls and streams.
“The property at Justins Ave is no exception and at 103 acres is one of the largest available on the mountain.”
Aside from Hollywood, Ms Christensen said the property had plenty of other avenues for income-earning potential.
“Or someone may just want to build their dream home there,” she said.

The property is a short drive from Gallery Walk, the area’s main throughfare of shops, cafes, art galleries and studios.
Ms Christensen is also selling an adjoining block of land at 52-54 The Shelf Road, which if bought in conjunction with Justins Ave would be an opportunity to own a large chunk of the mountain.

Whether it be the increased presence of A-listers in the area or people simply chasing a tree-change lifestyle, property prices on Tamborine Mountain have surged over the past 12 months, with PropTrack data showing that the median has risen 32 per cent from $650,000 to $860,000.
“It’s definitely a sought after area since Covid” Ms Christensen said. “People have realised they can work further away and out of the city and then there’s those who just like to love off-grid.”
