Gold Coast’s Jabiru House sale a done deal

3 Lagoon Way, Mudgeeraba.
THE ink is finally dry on one of the biggest sales in the Gold Coast Hinterland.
Jabiru House, at 3 Lagoon Way, Mudgeeraba, went under contract for $5.607 million in November, 2021.
The sale, a record for Mudgeeraba, settled this week.

The $5.607 million sale is the highest price paid for a property in Mudgeeraba
3 Lagoon Way, Mudgeeraba is based on Brazilian architecture, while embracing the Japanese ethos of wabi-sabi, where beauty is discovered in imperfection.

“The buyer requested a longer settlement due to other enterprises in Melbourne,” marketing agent Katrina Walsh, of Harcourts Coastal, said.
“It was all about timing.”
The vendor was Rosa Raso, the wife of Austworld plumbing products group head Sam Raso.
She bought the two-level, seven-bedroom house in Mudgeeraba’s Jabiru Estate for $4.6m in August 2020.

From the outside the residence is something special.
The house offers an array entertaining spaces.
No improvements had been made to the residence, known as Jabiru House, which is based on Brazilian architecture, while embracing the Japanese ethos of wabi-sabi, where beauty is discovered in imperfection.
The home was built by Melanie Singsam and Robert Semaan on a 4611s qm site bought for $855,000 in 2017.

The house works well with its bush setting.
The imposing façade features weathered vertical timber screening alongside hand-laid local stone with raw concrete, timber and stone extending to the home’s interiors.
The way in which the house integrates with the natural landscape was the starting point for the design which required a horse paddock to be reshaped to accommodate the main structure.
