Gold Coast mayor Tom Tate put his long-term apartment in Surfers Paradise on the market less than a week after he listed his hinterland weekender.
The three-bedroom apartment at 47/20 Commodore Drive, Paradise Waters, which is in the Kings Row Centre building, has been in Mr Tate’s possession since August 2011 when he acquired it as an investment property for $450,000 with his wife Ruth.

According to the listing, it is a spacious, well-appointed corner apartment on the 11th floor with Broadwater, ocean and main river views.
It has a separate entrance foyer for privacy, an open-plan lounge and dining area, with a modern kitchen and master bedroom with a walk-in robe and ensuite.

The property has been rented for $580 a week.

North-facing, the views are visible from almost every room and can be taken in from the wraparound balconies.
The property was last listed for rent in 2018 at $580 a week.
Kings Row Centre is right on the water and apartments in the block are tightly held.

It has sweeping views.

The apartment is being sold through Russell and Bob Rollington of First National via private treaty but has not been listed with a price, however, the property appears on realestate.com.au when searching for properties between $900,000 and $1 million.

It is located in the Kings Row Centre building which is tightly held.

The Tates also listed their three-bedroom sky lodge in the heritage-listed Binna Burra Mountain Retreat in the Gold Coast hinterland this month.
The property at 4/1042 Binna Burra Road, Beechmont, is one of 20 exclusive sky lodges that make up part of the retreat’s mixed accommodation offering.
The Tates purchased it for $770,000 in 2015 as an place to escape but also an extra source of income with the property bringing in about $60,000 a year rent.

The Tates also have their mountain lodge at 4/1042 Binna Burra Road, Beechmont, on the market.

It is set to go to auction on October 6 at 4pm also through First National.
Once the two apartments are sold, the only residential property that the Tates will own will be their main residence, which they purchased earlier this year after selling their Paradise Waters mansion.
The couple made a move to an acreage at 23 Maryland Avenue in Carrara, which they bought for $3.825 million in April.

The pair have since bought this acreage property in Carrara.
