Gold Coast lawyer Dan Marino lists ultimate family residence

91 Amalfi Drive, Isle of Capri
Modern luxury complements a prime location in a newly built waterfront home right in the heart of one of the Gold Coast’s most sought-after suburbs.
Completed just over 12 months ago, 90 Amalfi Dr on the Isle of Capri is the family home of prominent Gold Coast lawyer Dan Marino and his wife Stephanie.
The couple are known for their premium developments, including two luxury beachfront villas at Tugun which were snapped up last year ahead of auction for a cool $8.7 million.
All about lifestyle with a side of luxury
The Isle of Capri build has seen the pair put their design and development skills to further use in a home that’s all about lifestyle with more than a touch of luxury on the side.
Situated on Main River within walking distance of Via Roma and the beach, the home features six bedrooms, an office, and gym, along with secure parking for six cars, a waterfront swimming pool and spa, and a private boat pontoon.
No expense has been spared in the home’s build and design, with Plus Architecture and Hnkn Construction brought in to bring the Marinos’ vision of the ultimate family residence to life.
Mr Marino said the home was designed to capitalise on its waterfront position while effortlessly catering to family living.

“It’s got a great separation of space that allows independence for both the kids and the parents,” Mr Marino said.
“You can entertain on the water, there’s a home office with access from the front of the house to facilitate working from home, and there are two staircases — one at each end of the home — so the kids can enjoy the gym or media room while the adults are entertaining at the other end.”
Mr Marino said the property’s location and design allowed for the ultimate entertainer’s lifestyle, with weekends spent boating, jet skiing or wakeboarding on the river then relaxing around the pool.

“It’s a great lifestyle to enjoy with friends and family,” he said.
“We love Amalfi Dr as it’s a wide-open street that’s central to everything.
“You can walk to the beach, Capri on Via Roma is just a short stroll away and the property is also located on Main River in a ski zone.”
Mrs Marino took charge of the property’s finishing touches and interior design, and noted the home had a soft, clean palette with a warm and natural feel.
“It reflects the colours and textures you find in nature, with marble flooring, a timber staircase, cobblestone drive, and a striking exterior façade set against a lush, tropical hanging garden,” she said.
“A lot of these features were custom made for the house, and it’s a home where the design has a flow to it that works incredibly well for a family.”
Those views
The home has six bedrooms
Key to that flow is the kitchen which features an island bench with seating for six and a breakfast bar that seats an additional four people.
The kitchen also boasts Gaggenau appliances, a vast butler’s pantry and adjoins the laundry and mudroom.
“The kitchen is just fabulous,” Mrs Marino said.
“It overlooks a sunken lounge and dining area with double-sided fireplace and has views across the water to the Gold Coast city skyline.”
The Marinos are keen to undertake another project on Amalfi Dr, with their existing family home now on the market.
“I would happily enjoy using this as our family home for many years to come and it’s a house we absolutely love, but we’re also ready for our next project,” Mrs Marino said.
The luxury home at 90 Amalfi Dr, Isle of Capri, is listed with Amir Prestige and is set to go to auction on April 13.
