Burleigh Waters new-build achieves suburb-record price

38 Honeyeater Drive, Burleigh Waters sold at auction for $4.765m.
A buyer searching for property on the Gold Coast for six months placed the winning $4.765m bid on a luxury new-build, smashing the suburb record for Burleigh Waters in the process.
The Palm Springs-inspired family home at 38 Honeyeater Drive attracted six registered bidders when it went to auction through Ray White Burleigh Group – Miami’s Rebecca Moffrey and Troy Fitzgerald.
“It’s an amazing feat to be honest,” Ms Moffrey said.
“It’s a great price and we’re really excited about it.”
The property attracted six registered bidders.
The new build set a new suburb record for Burleigh Waters.
Ms Moffrey said the bidders were a mix of interstate buyers and local hopefuls.
Bidding kicked off at $2.3m followed by more than a dozen bids before the auction stalled at $4.55m.
“It took us an hour and a half to pull the deal together after that,” Ms Moffrey said.
“We sat there with the owner and the buyer and negotiated the deal.”

The attention to detail was next level.
The house fronts Lake Miami.
The hammer eventually came down at $4.765m, with a Gold Coast buyer winning the keys after house hunting in the city for six months.
“I had shown her a lot of properties but when she came through this one she fell in love in it,” she said.

Spanning two levels, the five-bedroom, four-bathroom home overlooks Miami Lake and comes complete with a media room, study, and double garage along with a vast outdoor entertaining area, swimming pool, spa and firepit.
It features low maintenance gardens, 3m ceilings and an open plan layout, with a focus on indoor and outdoor living.

Inside the property.
“There hasn’t been a new build in Burleigh Waters on the water to this level for some time,” Ms Moffrey said.
“The build was done to an extremely high level with a lot of quality finishes.
“I do think people appreciate that now and they want the best of everything when they buy a new house.”

The property had a focus on indoor-outdoor entertaining.
Completed earlier this year, the house was constructed as the family home of builder Joe Bebek.
“We wanted to build something modern, yet beachy with amazing street appeal,” Mr Bebek said.
“It’s designed as a family home, but it’s definitely an entertainer’s paradise.”
“Being a builder, it’s all high-spec and there are all these little surprises when you come and see it in person,” Mr Bebek said.
Mr Bebek initially bought the land in 2019 after being drawn to its prime waterfront location. At that stage it was home to an older style house, which he and his family lived in as they meticulously planned their dream home.
