The Polites family home has hosted every sort of occasion over the past 13 years, from lavish children’s parties to cocktail events, intimate family dinners to the most raucous of milestone celebrations.
As parents to a Gold Coast social media influencer with more than 1 million followers, John and Lee-Ann Polites never missed an opportunity to make memories from all those picture-perfect moments.
Mr and Mrs Polites, parents to Insta-famous mum Hannah Polites and well-known bodybuilder Aaron Polites, have listed their luxury five-bedroom, four-bathroom home at 19 Brittanic Cres, Sovereign Islands.

It is marketed by Edin Kara and James Drake, of Ray White – Sovereign Islands, with a $5.95m price tag.
“It’s an unbelievable family home,” Mr Polites said.
“We entertain with all our children and our grandchildren all the time.”
The Polites bought the property on a 1,000sq m lot fronting the calm waters of Kings Bay for $1.44m in October 2010.
In 2019, they completed a two-year full renovation which included the addition of several unique entertaining spaces.

There’s a light-filled formal dining room and waterfront champagne bar with a stone island bench, built-in fridges, and glass shelves displaying bottles of top-shelf bubbles.
Then, The Italian Room, an elegant covered al fresco area with teppanyaki kitchen and bespoke upholstered bench seating around a wooden table with cascading planter boxes overhead.
“It’s like a little Italian restaurant. It is very unique and we’ve got all our European travel photos up on the wall too,” Mr Polites said.
Gold Class-style cinema
A favourite of their six grandchildren is the private Gold Class-style cinema, with 8 leather recliners, large screen with state-of-the-art projector and surround sound, plus LED lighting.
The couple says the home has been much loved by the extended family, including Hannah and her husband Garth Small’s children, Evaliah, 6, Arlo, 4, and Oakleigh, 2 (number 4 is due in May), as well as Aaron and his wife Jayde’s little ones, Levi, 6, and twins Maya and Lola, 2.

Motorbike enthusiast Mr Polites – he has 14 of them – converted space at the front of the house into a glass-walled garage, which leads onto a private lounge with full-service bar, 3 TVs, electric fireplace and a powder room.
“You can open up the whole area and it becomes handy for a function,” Mr Polites said.
“I had my 60th birthday here 2 years ago – I brought my Harley Davidson in, and we built a stage and had a live band – and many of the grandkids’ parties have been here, too.
“You would not believe some of the parties we’ve had – Hannah gets gorillas and giraffes and all sorts of things, she doesn’t hold back.”

Hannah regularly shares snaps from her kids’ professionally styled celebrations, and the family often dresses to match the theme.
For Arlo’s wild circus-themed first birthday bash, Hannah donned feathers and sparkles, Garth went as the ringmaster and Aaron as the strongman.

For summer parties, there’s a pool and cabana plus suspended daybed, and a pontoon to launch the yacht or jet skis.
“The best thing with this house is the fact that it’s got very good street appeal and a very private waterway at the back,” Mr Polites said.
“We come out here of an evening and the sun sets over the back deck. It’s absolutely beautiful.”
Hamptons-style kitchen
Luckily for her guests, Mrs Polites loves to cook in the home’s stunning Hamptons-style kitchen, where pale blue splashback, pendant lights, and dark flooring add layers to classic white shaker profile cabinetry.
The Hamptons hints carry through the home, with timeless features including wainscot walls, coffered ceilings and rich-toned timber, but it is filled with sunlight and coastal ambience.
Mr Polites calls it a “flow” – easy transitions between multiple indoor and outdoor living and dining zones that flow to the water’s edge, where you’ll savour those spectacular sunsets.
