Marketing agent Lucy Cole, of Lucy Cole Prestige Properties, managed to find a Gold Coast buyer for the property last year, with the sale settling in November.
“It was a very emotional sale for the owner having been on and off the market for so long,” Ms Cole said.
“The owner in the end realised that it was at the stage where it needed some TLC and she needed to downsize.
“She really liked the young buyer and could see how much he loved it.”

The house, surrounded by lush rainforest, was initially designed as a luxurious bed and breakfast and has five bedroom suites — each with its own lounge area, bathroom and walk-in dressing area.
All bedrooms open to themed courtyards or balconies and come off a 35m long hallway which dissects the house.

An entertainer’s pavilion welcomes guests as they step into the foyer complete with a chandelier and high ceilings.
The house has a commercial-style kitchen and there are multiple spaces where guests can relax including a lounge with fireplace or the poolside terrace.
“The house is in such a beautiful setting,” Ms Cole said.
“The buyer could really see the potential of the property.”
The property also includes eight-car accommodation, a shed, wine cellar and rainwater storage.
A caretaker’s cottage is also attached to a large barn away from the main home.
