‘Nera’ to construction after strong interest

Gold Coast developer Bastion Property Group has been swamped by prospective buyers for its $140 million Nera project at Chevron Island in Surfers Paradise following a soft launch that drew more than 200 inquiries in the first few weeks.
Bastion has locked in sales of $18 million from the low-key launch over the holiday period, with the company noting it received an exceptionally strong response from locals.

Nera, to be built at 8-10 Parneno St, will deliver a collection of 87 luxury apartments across 28 storeys in a design that is set to create a new landmark for the island locale which is renowned for its village lifestyle.
“Following the soft launch in mid-December, we have been inundated with expressions of interest from prospective purchasers, with more than 200 inquiries received, several of them strong leads,” said Alex De Vincentiis, managing director of project marketer ONE:PM.

“As expected, local owner-occupiers, many of them already living on Chevron Island, have dominated preliminary inquiries, although we have also fielded multiple inquiries from interstate investors.
“From a local’s perspective, they are already won over by the location.
“They love Chevron Island and they want to stay, so for the buyers that have already signed up, Nera is the perfect fit for them.”

Designed by award-winning firm Plus Architecture, Nera’s residences are primed for downsizers with large floorplans and an array of layout options comprising two and three bedrooms.
These will be complemented by a collection of three-bedroom sky homes and a full-floor penthouse.
All Nera residents will enjoy rooftop amenities, including an infinity pool, wellness spa, fitness centre, exclusive dining area, sky lounges with fire pits, and a dedicated yoga platform.

Bastion Group, which is backed by a private consortium of national and expat developers, has taken a dedicated approach to not only deliver a premium residential offering, but to create a new landmark design for Chevron Island.

Nera, which has development approval and is awaiting council response to minor revisions aimed at meeting demand for premium residences in the popular suburb.
Construction is set to start around July, 2024 with completion predicted in 2026.
