Gold Coast real estate: Worongary party house on the market

IS this the Gold Coast’s ultimate party pad?
Nat Scott and her plumber husband Jono bought their leafy Worongary property 12 months ago and have spent the year transforming it into an entertainer’s dream.
The pair, who have renovated 14 properties and built one house, don’t do things by halves.

Their latest project is affectionately know as Worongary Pavilion and has its own “poolside day club area”.
“It’s 100 per cent a party house,” Mrs Scott said.
“We love entertaining and love having fun open spaces.
“We’ve always got people over, it’s honestly the perfect place for it.
“We had my daughter’s 21st here and even had a band.”

The five-bedroom house, on 1ha of subdividable land at 107 San Fernando Drive, was in its original 1986 condition and in desperate need of an update when the Scott family got their hands on it.
“We flipped all the living areas from the centre of the house to the northern end so we basically get all day sun,” Mrs Scott said.
“We honestly haven’t stopped since we bought it.
“It’s been my full time job overseeing all the different trades.”

There’s plenty of space to entertain.
As well as a new kitchen and bathrooms, the pair installed a new deck, new internal walls, skylights, flooring and lighting.
The end result is a stunning coastal-inspired residence that’s functional as well as stylish.
The upper level includes the kitchen with a servery window to the veranda as well as a lounge with a gas fireplace and stone feature wall.

There is also a servery window that leads out to the deck.
The lower level offers the option of dual living, with versatile spaces, including a bathroom and kitchen.
The standout though is the sprawling lounge room, with its huge couch and raised long bar area.
Other features include a 180sq m shed that is suited for a trade or home business with part of it converted into a cabin-style retreat that’s perfect for guests.
Mrs Scott said while it was bittersweet to sell, the family had bought another property in Warwick.
The Worongary house is being sold via an expressions of interest campaign.
