Flurry of real estate sales on the Gold Coast

THERE has been a flurry of prestige sales on the Gold Coast despite a recorded slowdown in the market.
A luxury mansion on the Glitter Strip sold at auction over the weekend for a street record of $7.4 million.

Seven potential buyers registered to bid on the five-bedroom residence at 27 Midshipman Court, Paradise Waters.
Kollosche agents Sam Guo and Julia Kuo handled the sale.
“We are excited for our interstate vendors and wonderful buyer for securing her dream home,” they said.

The house spans three levels and is on a northeast facing 903 sqm with 32.6m of water frontage.
Property records reveal it last sold in August, 2019 for $4.75 million.
Meanwhile, Domino’s Pizza boss Don Meij made a cool $2.4m from the sale of his Gold Coast beachfront apartment.
Mr Meij, who is based in Brisbane, bought the whole-floor apartment in the sought-after Sea building at 3531-3533 Main Beach Parade in June 2020 for $5.35m.

He has just sold it to a buyer from Brisbane for $7.8 million — shy of the $7.95m Mr Meij was originally asking for.
The apartment, located on the second floor of the seven-storey boutique building, was marketed through Harry Kakavas and Michael Kollosche of Kollosche.

And on the northern Coast, a modern-day castle has new rulers after being snapped up in a multimillion-dollar deal.
The five-bedroom “picture perfect” house at 5403 Pebble Lane, Sanctuary Cove, sold for $4.3 million after just two days on the market.

It sold for $2.2 million in February, 2020.
“The vendors did a major renovation and really nailed the Hamptons style which we know is still very popular,” said marketing agent Alex Phillis of Phillis Real Estate.
“When you look at a house as unique as this one, you know it’s going to fly out the door.
“We just didn’t’ expect it to sell so fast.”
“It was picture perfect, you just walk in and it’s really homely.
“Everyone was loving it.”

The riverfront mansion, known as The Hamptons on Pebble Lane, resembles a castle with multiple balconies, a feature staircase and elaborate skylight above the foyer.

Outside, the pool and spa overlooks the river with uninterrupted views across to Coomera National Park.
