Former Hawks forward Jonathon Patton has taken on a new role with Gold Coast real estate agency Kollosche.
Retired AFL star Jonathon Patton is kicking goals in the property game, helping clinch the sale of a luxury beachfront villa which sold under the hammer for a staggering $1.3m above the reserve price.
The $4.51m sale of the four-bedroom Miami home came just weeks after the former Hawthorn forward switched to real estate following a ten-year sporting career plagued by injuries.
The beachfront villa at Miami sold under the hammer for $4.51m to a Melbourne buyer.

Patton, who is working alongside Kollosche agent Brad Coyne, was not the sales agent for the property, but introduced the Melbourne-based buyer who placed the winning bid at the hotly contested Gold Coast auction.
Patton moved to the Gold Coast in April after retiring from AFL to focus on his mental health.
Patton’s football career was plagued by injuries.
“I’ve got an uncle and aunty here who I’m close to, and I stayed with them for two months after the season ended,” he said.
“When I retired at the start of the year, obviously I wanted to be happy and feel like I could be my best self and the Gold Coast was first on the list.”
The 28-year-old said his passion for real estate had grown since purchasing his first home in Melbourne aged 22, followed by an investment property in Sydney which he sold in 2020.
Patton is pictured right with Kollosche colleagues, Brad Coyne and Cooper Markovitch.
“After all my injuries in my career I had a lot of time to think about what I wanted to do post-football, and the thing that always came back to me was real estate,” Patton said.
“Coming from a competitive industry where you are exposed to some pretty successful people; the fact that real estate was a job that can be whatever you want to make of it appealed to me.”
The Mediterranean-style villa with a rooftop terrace at 2/6 Marine Pde was marketed by Kollosche agents Troy Dowker and Eoghan Murphy.
It went under the hammer on the weekend in front of a large crowd as eight registered bidders vied for the keys.
The Mediterranean-style villa has four bedrooms and a rooftop villa.
Mr Dowker said he was stunned by the result as bidding soared well beyond the $3.2m reserve price set by the vendor.
“I’ve never seen anything like that in 18 years in real estate,” Mr Dowker said.
“The collaboration within the office was instrumental in achieving the result.”
Mr Coyne said Patton was “a good human” who “gelled with the team”.
Touching on his previous struggles, Patton said he aimed, “to find happiness again” as part of a thriving workplace.
Patton introduced the buyer, who will used the beachside part as a “part-time residence”, Mr Dowker said.
“I wasn’t happy playing football for quite a while. I wanted a change of environment.
“When you’re not exactly happy with what you’re doing, obviously that can take its toll.”
Patton joined Hawthorn in 2019 from the Greater Western Sydney Giants where he played 89 games but was benched by injuries.
He played just six games for the Hawks last year before suffering a hamstring injury.
