A near-new beachfront mansion in an idyllic location favoured by celebrities has been snapped up for a jaw-dropping price just one week after hitting the market.
The contemporary Mediterranean-style home known as Casa Capri sold for $8 million, netting an impressive profit for local business owners Mark and Heather Lambert, who had paid $2m to secure the 1,1012 sqm vacant parcel backing onto Kingscliff Beach in December 2020.
Marketing agent Nick Witheriff, of LJ Hooker Kingscliff, said two written offers were received within days of listing the Cylinders Drive property, which had caught the eye of Aussie actor and Barbie star Margot Robbie.

Other high-profile local holiday-makers identified as potential buyers included surf champion Stephanie Gilmore and former footballer Sonny Bill Williams.
“Margot missed out!” Mr Witheriff said.
“We had a host of international and local interest including the likes of Margot Robbie, who viewed the video walk through.
“We sold the house to a young family from Sydney who will be relocating with their children to commence a new lifestyle by the beach.”
Building designer Jayson Pate was enlisted to conceptualise the glamorous six-bedroom, five-bathroom property, with the build completed in 2022.

Mrs Lambert said the project was “three years in the making”, with “timeless materials and high-quality fixtures and finishes” selected to ensure its enduring appeal.
“We poured our hearts into designing and building Casa Capri,” Mrs Lambert said.
“We are so thrilled to welcome the new owners who we hope will enjoy it as much as we did.”
The trophy home’s striking exterior sets arched windows and doorways against bright white, while inside living spaces wrap around a stunning 5m diameter round pool and al fresco entertaining spae with outdoor barbecue kitchen, pizza oven and bar fridges.
Other features include a wine cellar, cocktail bar, and stone fireplace, plus a designer kitchen with quartz benchtop and a butler’s pantry.

The relatively unspoilt Tweed Coast has emerged as a threat to Byron Bay’s status as the playground of the stars, with beachfront real estate in the region becoming a hot commodity through the pandemic.
Casa Capri’s swift sale was another big-ticket result for the strip known as the “Wategos of Kingscliff”, with the record set at $8.97m for 15 Cylinders Drive.
PropTrack data shows the median house price in Kingscliff is $1.85m.
