17 Grandview Terrace, Tallai is going under the hammer.
A GOLD Coast house with links to a notorious Sydney bookmaker is set to go under the hammer.
Martin Joy and partner Nicholas Ryan bought their Tallai property in 2011 — it was previously owned by former Sydney bookmaker Terry Page.
“He was a very colourful identity and known around Sydney and the Gold Coast,” Mr Joy said.
“I believe Terry had some pretty wild parties here as well.”

It’s understood bookie Terry Page hosted big parties at 7 Grandview Terrace, Tallai.
Fast-forward more than a decade and the house at 17 Grandview Terrace, known as Mahana, is once again an entertainer’s dream brimming with resort-style features.
“As soon as we saw it, we said ‘what a house’,” Mr Joy said.
“It had great lines and an incredibly solid structure.”
“We knew it would be a lot of work and it took a lot of work to fix it up.
“We did a big renovation in 2012 and then a few smaller ones along the way.”
