The Lighthouse, at 18 Knightsbridge Pde East, was crowned house of the year in 2017 at the Master Builders Housing and Construction Awards.
Designed by MI Design and constructed by builders Ben Marks and Alan Marks, it rises four levels and is an entertainer’s dream with an outdoor kitchen, teppanyaki station and rooftop pool.
Porthole windows, balconies and shutters set the scene from the street while inside, the meticulous attention to detail is evident.

Mr Plant entered the real estate industry at 18 and a decade later, with his interior decorator wife, started the first Barry Plant office in the Melbourne suburb of Templestowe in 1979.
In 1999, 15 Barry Plant offices merged with 16 EJ Doherty Real Estate offices and Barry Plant Doherty was formed.
The Doherty name was eventually dropped and today the franchised operation has more than 70 offices.
