Lifestyle properties in the Gold Coast Hinterland are continuing to attract plenty of interest with a luxury farmhouse selling under the hammer for $4.75m.

Completed last year, it first hit the market in October 2023, but this year underwent a new marketing push through Matthew Follent and Michael Kollosche of Kollosche – Broadbeach.
Justin Nickerson, of Apollo Auctions, called the auction on-site in front of a crowd of about 50.
“Bidding started at $3m and two bidders tussled it out until the auction was paused at $4.25m,” Mr Nickerson said.
“Then following negotiations the property was eventually sold at $4.75m.”

Mr Nickerson said buyers were drawn to the Hinterland for the acreage lifestyle it provided, while still being close to the beach.
“That lifestyle out in the Valley has become really popular,” he said.
“This particular property was all on one level and finished really nicely throughout.”
In an area renowned for its stunning prize homes, Maybree Estate, designed by Jayson Pate, showcases luxury rural living and takes full advantage of its north-facing position on a 1.62ha block of land.

Builder and part-vendor Adam Mullins, who runs Wave Developments, said it was the prime location that initially attracted him to the block of land, along with the opportunity to create something totally unique.
