Influencer caught on camera stripping for photo at Gold Coast’s hottest home

Bikini model Holly Cheesman posed outside the designer Gold Coast home

A Gold Coast model was caught by security camera stripping down to a bikini to pose in front of a luxury new home, with beachside real estate now doubling as a popular location for aspirational social media content.

Footage captured on CCTV at the Jefferson Lne home shows brand influencer Holly Cheesman dropping her jeans to have her photo taken in front of the property’s designer coastal facade.

The snap of Ms Cheesman in a colourful string bikini by White Fox became her Instagram profile picture, while pants-down footage of the bold stunt was also shared to social media by the home’s owner-builder, Nick McDonald.

Ms Cheesman has represented brands including City Beach and Glassons, and amassed a following of nearly 13,000 for her account showcasing mostly bright swimwear.

It is marketed by Ed Cherry, of Harcourts Coastal, with a $4m-plus price tag. Named Jefferson for its location along one of the the southern Gold Coast’s trendiest beachside strips, the high-end home makes an aesthetic statement through showstopper features including an elevated glass bottomed pool and cascading greenery. “I’ll often come home and there’s people in the driveway taking photos and they always get super-embarrassed, but this one was probably the most bold of them all,” Mr McDonald said. “I pulled up and they kind of smiled and said, ‘you don’t mind if I get some photos here, do you?’ then kept at it.” Gold Coast bikini model Holly Cheesman Mr McDonald said he took the attention his projects attracted as a compliment, adding it didn’t affect their quality of life as the home’s interior had been designed as a private retreat for him and his wife, Bridgette. “I guess if you’re designing a house as a photo shoot location you are trying to create those different aesthetics throughout the space, and that is also how we approached the design of this project so it is well-suited from the perspective of its visual appeal,” he said. Mr Cherry said the evolving architectural style evident in contemporary Qld homes had inspired people to capture more photos and video. The snap-happy trend had gathered pace since Covid restrictions eased, with influencers drawn to new designer builds, while others couldn’t resist a peek inside properties with celebrity owners. The luxury riverside home sold for more than $2.39m in 2021. A group of young Melbourne buyers filmed a Tik Tok video while in the glass lift of an architecturally designed home known as Cypress at Bilinga, while the Palm Beach highway showstopper known as Nirvana had also become a popular backdrop. “Many of the properties we currently have listed have been beautifully styled with that soft colour palette and unique features so they present very attractively,” Mr Cherry said. The lift at this Bilinga property for sale was the scene for a Tik Tok video Cypress on Golden Four Dr goes under the hammer on July 23, while Nirvana on the Gold Coast Hwy has a price tag of $5m-plus. “When we were marketing The Palms at Burleigh, we’d come out before the open home and there’d be people standing around with their coffee cups, waiting their turn to get their picture taken,” Mr Cherry said. “It’s a common thing, they’ll say they’re just looking or there for inspiration and they’re often not phased by it at all — they’ll expect you to walk around them so you’re not in the frame,” Mr Cherry said. The Palms was dubbed Qld’s “most photographed home”, and last sold in October 2021 to tennis star Lleyton Hewitt and wife Bec for $4.305m.
