It is the first time the 1970s-built house, in popular Burleigh Heads precinct Koala Park, has been listed for sale.

The vendor grew up in Koala Park and only moved out of the house 12 months ago, according to marketing agent Martin O’Reilly of Professionals Burleigh.
Mr O’Reilly said he understood he paid a little over $20,000 for the property in the 70s.
“It’s definitely a worst house on the best street situation,” Mr O’Reilly said.
“It’s all about location – you can walk to the town, beach and creek.”

“When you step inside you feel like you’re in the 70s,” Mr O’Reilly said.

Mr O’Reilly said he had received several inquiries on the property since it hit the market earlier this week.
“Knock it down and start again, or rent it out and watch your investment grow,” the listing states.
Koala Park is home to one of the hottest housing pockets on the Gold Coast.
The demand for property in the small enclave is anything but calm, with buyers lining up for knockdown properties in any market.

Koala Park has undergone a transformation in recent years as a string of original homes have made way for designer builds.
The enclave offers easy access to Tallebudgera Creek, Burleigh National Park as well as nearby cafes, restaurants and boutiques on James Street.
