Celebrity developer Graya moves on Gold Coast market

Kloud at Palm Beach has received the green light
Celebrity developers Graya have hit a milestone in their move on the Gold Coast market with the launch of a luxury apartment tower rising from one of the Glitter Strip city’s most coveted beachfront strips.
Headed up by brothers, Rob and Andrew Gray, the award-winning design, development and construction company has received the green light for Kloud, a striking 23-apartment project at 152 Jefferson Lane, Palm Beach.
Graya shifted its focus to the Gold Coast this year after carving a niche building showstopping Brisbane homes for high-profile clients, including rugby league great Darius Boyd and his wife Kayla, rapper Example and his wife, model Erin McNaught, and rugby players, Quade Cooper and Israel Folau.

The 29m-high Kloud project marks the company’s multiresidential debut on the Gold Coast, with pre-sales launched this week after development approval was received from council.
The tower takes design influence from the coastal landscape through curved forms and a restrained colour palette, with a mix of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom units and residents’ only amenities including a pool, wet deck, day beds, and a poolside social space amid layered landscaping.
Construction on the prime 827 sqm site kicks off in November.
Graya has also received approval for another Palm Beach project called Ripple, while work is underway on Dune, a luxury residential project at Burleigh Heads which will be home to Rob Gray and his wife, Meghan.

The couple sold their last Graya-designed mansion in Paddington for a record $8.2m in November after acquiring an oceanview site in May for $2.78m for their upcoming 5-bedroom Moroccan-inspired home with a glamorous rooftop pool and al fresco area.
Andrew Gray said expanding to the Gold Coast was a natural progression for the Brisbane-based company he founded with Rob more than a decade ago.
“We have a strong connection with the Gold Coast as we spent a lot of time here growing up,” Andrew said.
“We were always drawn to the beaches and lifestyle and on a business front the opportunity for growth and further development is unrivalled as more and more interstate buyers look to the Gold Coast.
“Palm Beach, in our opinion, has the most potential – it’s one of the most beautiful stretches of beach and has a thriving restaurant and bar scene while still maintaining that local community feel.
“Over the last few years it’s transformed into the lifestyle capital of the Gold Coast so when this opportunity presented itself, it made sense for Graya to expand.”
Luxury living in a highly coveted beachside location
It follows a successful few months for Graya, collecting several Master Builders awards in July including the Presidents Award for its Hamilton Hill mansion Larc, while its riverside project Maison New Farm was named The Urban Developer’s small-scale residential Development of the Year.
Andrew put Graya’s success down to hands-on involvement and attention to detail across all facets of the business from site selection, architecture and interior design to project management and construction.
“Design excellence is at the forefront of all our projects, but with Kloud specifically we wanted a design that fitted in with the natural surrounds,” Mr Gray said.
“The name and design of Kloud is reflective of our vision to deliver sky homes that float above the horizon.”

“Apartments are designed to appeal to those seeking the ultimate in elevated, beachside living in a walkable setting,” Ms Edwards said.
