Burleigh new build with Hamptons style attracting plenty of attention

Summer View House sits on a corner block on Elanora Drive, Burleigh Heads.
An epic new build in Burleigh is turning heads for its luxury Hamptons design and commanding creek-front position.
Summer View House at 2 Elanora Drive replaced a 60-year-old beach shack, that sparked international interest when it went to auction in 2017.
More than 400 people and 55 registered bidders turned up to see the shack, on a 602 sqm block with 50m of water frontage, change hands for $2.55m.

It hit the headlines and prompted a frenzy of sales as nearby property owners look to cash in.
The buyer, based at Broadbeach Waters at the time, had planned to demolish and build a Hamptons-style home on the site.
Seven years later and his vision has come to life through architectural firm Jared Poole Design, builder Richard Parsons Construction, and interior designer Verandah House.
Just as the original shack garnered attention when it went up for sale, Summer View House is having the same affect, but for its incredible design features.

Jared Poole, director of Jared Poole Design, said the property, in popular Burleigh Heads locale Koala Park, was one of the most desired parcels of land not only on the Gold Coast but across the country.
“The prominence of this home in the local real estate market drew wide attention to the build and aesthetics, while combining the owners desire to create a flawless space for their family to create memories for years to come,” Mr Poole said.
“Overlooking the highly renowned Tallebudgera Creek with a wide angle aspect, the brief for the space was to create a unique, timeless and elegant home that will be enjoyed for decades to come.”

Mr Poole said both functionality and aesthetics were tied together to create Summer View House.
“Embracing our client’s family values of sharing meals with family and friends, it was important to them that we created a space that felt connected to the casual living spaces of the home and the stunning views of the water,” he said.
“The space had to feel bright and open, with plenty of natural light and offer a classic, sophisticated look that’s timeless in colour and design.”

Imagine hanging out here on summer days.
The five-bedroom five-bathroom house stands out from the street and creek with its crisp white facade and stone features.
Inside and the kitchen is the heart of the home and follows a classical, Hampton theme with bespoke joinery, Caesarstone bench tops and high-end appliances.
“At one stage we did consider featuring the kitchen in a colour, however we decided that by keeping the kitchen white we would add a subtle colour to the splashback tiles,” Mr Poole said.
“When a house is surrounded by breathtaking blue water the colour of sea glass, you really don’t need to make the kitchen colour the main focus.”

Instead, colour was introduced to the scullery.
“We literally painted the skirting boards and architraves the same colour blue as the cabinetry,” Mr Poole said.
“It’s like the colour of the water and worked back with the tiles in the kitchen, it was the perfect choice and it made the scullery a fabulous statement.”
Other features include a basement garage, lift, fireplace, wine cellar, outdoor entertaining area, pergola and pool.
