Yabba-dabba-doo! Luxury ‘Flintstones’ mansion sells in mega deal

52 Royal Albert Cres, Sovereign Islands.
A Gold Coast mansion described as a property the Flintstone family would feel at home in has sold for $4.9 million.
The Sovereign Islands property has a European influence with 200 tonnes of custom stonework, terracotta roof tiles sourced from France and a turret.

The front of the house packs a punch from the street.
Potential buyers said the mansion reminded them of a home Flintstones would live in.
The house, with stone pillars, towers over the pool.
Ivy Realty’s Ivy Wu and Isaac Kim handled the mega deal after managing to find a buyer upgrading from nearby Ashmore.
“It was an interesting story as we actually had his property in Ashmore for sale first,” Mr Kim said.
“One of our agents listed his property and sold it within 24 hours.
“He had been through the Sovereign Islands property and then after we sold his property, he was in a position to make an offer.”

The five-bedroom, three-bathroom residence at 52 Royal Albert Cres, Sovereign Islands, last changed hands for $4.265m in 2022.
The property included a pool, jetty and a string of different entertaining spaces.
“The buyer wanted bridge-free access to the Broadwater which is why he sold his Ashmore house and bought on the Sovereign Islands,” Mr Kim said.

“A lot of buyers said it reminded them of a luxury Flintstones house,” Mr Kim said.
