The Broadbeach Waters home where The Bachelor is being filmed.
Filming has kicked off on Australia’s premier dating show, The Bachelor, with this year’s contestants living it up in a $14.5m luxury Broadbeach Waters mansion.
It is the first time the series, created by Warner Bros for Channel 10, has rolled cameras in the Sunshine State, with the Gold Coast gladly accepting the rose to play host.
The home sold for $14.5m last year.
The luxurious Broadbeach Waters mansion is at the epicentre of the action between not just one but three bachelors and a bevvy of bachelorettes, in a twist in the format.
Located on the Coast’s well-known and well-heeled Monaco St, the double-storey Beverly Hills-style home changed hands for a whopping $14.5m as recently as October and was one of the biggest sales on the Coast last year.
It was designed by the well-known Jared Poole.
It was created by renowned Gold Coast designer Jared Poole and covers almost 2,400sq m with an incredible 115.1m of water frontage in a point position on main river.
There is plenty of space for contestants to get to know each other.

A central manicured lawn area is likely to be where the contestants will congregate for the notorious rose-giving ceremony, where each week one or more bachelorettes will be voted off the show.
The sparkling pool.
When the bachelors aren’t keeping themselves looking in tip-top shape in the home’s gym, they can get to know their suitors by kicking back in the sparkling pool, entertaining around the inbuilt wet bar and barbecue, or cosying up in front of the fireplace.
The house is a modern design.
Meanwhile, potential love-birds can choose to share a more intimate moment on the home’s private upper-level balcony, although keeping their eyes on one another may prove difficult with the glittering lights of Surfers Paradise winking at them from across the river.

Even in the daytime, the views from the mansion can be pretty spectacular, taking in the Coast’s iconic Jewel towers directly opposite and the rest of the cityscape stretching into the distance.
It has been reported that production of the reality TV series on the Gold Coast will create about 80 local jobs and contribute an estimated $4.1m to the Queensland economy, with flow-on benefits for hospitality and tourism.
The Bachelor, season ten, is set to air later this year.
Is this where expectant bachelorettes will learn if they can stay in the competition?
