41 Golden Valley Rd, Tallebudgera Valley
A LUXURY Tallebudgera Valley estate could be yours for the price of a raffle ticket after selling to a prize home foundation for a hefty $3.51 million.
The sprawling property at 41 Golden Valley Rd was set to go under the hammer, but was snapped up ahead of auction by Mater Prize Home lottery.
Marketing agent, Josh Willat, of McGrath, said the home’s light and bright coastal aesthetic and resort-style features made it a standout.
“I actually had three separate offers on the property from different prize home organisations,” Mr Willatt said.
“It was just such a photogenic house, and also the location on Golden Valley Rd was very attractive for a prize home because it is the last street in the Valley with town water.
“It’s good for city slickers to be able to experience acreage life,” he said.

The contemporary five-bedroom home, known as ‘Tallowood’, had features including an al fresco entertaining zone, spa and steam room, and games room with bar and wine cellar.
Owner-builder Mitchell Purcell, of NextGen Design and Construct, completed the renovation in 2021.
Works included opening up the floorplan to create greater flow between living spaces, as well as designing a showstopping master bedroom with walk-in robe, ensuite, and outdoor bath retreat.
Bespoke flooring and lighting were installed, while the kitchen was given a glamorous makeover with marble finishes and a butler’s pantry.

Other highlights included a sound-proof cinema room, study with private entry, large powered shed, and four-car garage.
Mr Purcell and his wife, Emma, purchased the property on a 6,218sq m lot backing onto a creek for $715,000 at a forced auction in 2019, recognising the home’s “really good set of bones” despite its dilapidated condition.
A championship sized tennis court would be added to the estate, and further landscaping undertaken, before it was promoted as a Mater prize home some time over the next 12 months.
It has undergone a complete renovation
Mr Willatt said the strong sale showed continued demand for luxury “move-in ready” property on the southern Gold Coast.
“I had four buyers who were interested in purchasing above $3 million which just blew me away,” he said.
“There is such a strong appetite for good-quality new builds and renovated propety, and I think this is testament to that.”
