Real Estate agent Ali Mian selling his family home on Sovereign Islands

Real estate agent Ali Mian is selling his home at 51 Knightsbridge Pde West, Sovereign Islands.
A LEADING Gold Coast real estate agent is hoping to cash in on the prestige market by taking his luxury mansion to auction.
Ray White Runaway Bay Group principal Ali Mian and wife Shabana have listed their home at 51 Knightsbridge Pde West Sovereign Islands, where they have lived with their three children for more than seven years.

Property records reveal they paid $1.34 million in 2013 for the 726sq m block of land before building their dream home.
“It took us nearly a year in planning and 18 months to build,” Mr Mian said.
“We have lived there for seven and a half years.
“It has been a beautiful place to raise my family.”

The kitchen and dining area connects to the outdoor terrace.
The house includes five bedrooms, five bathrooms, several living areas, media room, wine cellar and six-car garage.
“It’s very homely with an open-plan design,” Mr Mian said.
“We designed it so that the whole family integrates with each other.”
Outside there is a huge entertaining terrace, waterfront pool and pontoon.
During their build, Mr and Mrs Mian sourced many of the fittings from Spain and Italy including the lift, stone, and tiles.
Other features include timber flooring, chandeliers and cabinetry finished with book matched marble.
There is even a lift.
High ceilings and crystal chandeliers are a common theme.
Mr Mian said the home’s point location overlooking the Broadwater was also a huge selling point.
“It’s got a very unique position on Sovereign Islands with a park across the road,” he said.
“It’s on the Broadwater but the position allows you to have a boat.
“You can also jump on your jetskis or boat and in a couple of minutes you’re on Stradbroke Island.
“The other week we saw whales and just out the back we had a family of turtles.”
While the couple said it was bittersweet to sell, they were hoping to buy a house with more land.

Mr Mian said the prestige market continued to fire on the Gold Coast and was confident he would find a buyer for his house.
“We were expecting it to slow down but we’ve had the reverse effect as we can’t keep up with the migration,” he said.
“In some cases we are getting better prices than the peak of 2021.
“Sovereign Islands is a beautiful place and I think it’s very undervalued for what it offers.
“We will definitely miss it.”
Edin Kara, of Ray White Runaway Bay Group, is taking the property to auction on September 28.
“Offered is too much to list, too divine to explain, it must be seen to be believed,” Mr Kara said.
“Do not wait as homes of this calibre do not last long.”
