New oceanside oasis offering ‘quiet luxury’ in Queensland’s Miami

Boasting a desirable combination of location, liveability and luxury, these brand-new beachside homes are bound to draw plenty of discerning buyers.

Gold Coast-based Highlife Homes is renowned for creating homes that fuse exemplary design and unparralleled quality in sought-after locations – and the newly released Blanca and Madera duplexes are no exception.

Now available to purchase, these move-in-ready homes are a lesson in ‘quiet luxury’, with high-end features and an elegant aesthetic intended to stand the test of time. Plus, they’re just a few steps from stunning Miami Beach.

Right near Miami Beach, these homes are ideally located for a leisurely beach lifestyle.

Timeless design

At first glance, it’s clear the Blanca and Madera duplexes are meticulously and thoughtfully designed.

The overall aesthetic is sophisticated yet understated, exuding a sense of timeless elegance, combined with the smart functionality of modern design.

“We consider what’s in style, but more importantly for us is what looks beautiful all together,” says James MacQueen of Highlife Homes. “If all the elements come together in a cohesive beautiful aesthetic, then that will stand the test of time much longer than a combination of inclusions that are currently trendy.”

When coming up with the concept for the duplexes, Highlife’s design team was heavily inspired by nature. They opted for a soft colour palette with hints of green, and organic textures like stone, clay, sand, wood, rattan, warm metals such as gunmetal and brass, and native flora, which are evident across the finishes and fixtures.

The timber flooring and cabinetry, stoneware basins with antique brass tapware, and the stone cladding across the interior entryways and the development’s exterior are just some of the notable design touches that incorporate natural elements.

The overall aesthetic is sophisticated yet understated.

Features made for living

An equal amount of consideration went into the home’s features. Every Highlife home is designed for convenience and liveability, with inclusions that appeal to all kinds of buyers – from downsizers to professionals.

There’s a large balcony off the living area and a rooftop entertaining space ideal for hosting friends and family. Each fully covered rooftop comes with an outdoor kitchen, bar fridge, Beefeater barbecue and a beautiful timber-clad feature ceiling.

The homes also have sprawling interior spaces, including four bedrooms, three bathrooms plus a separate powder room, and a double garage with a separate storage area. The gorgeous master suite combines an ensuite with freestanding bath, vanity nook, and a large walk-in robe.

Kitchens are decked out with state-of-the-art ILVE appliances, stone benchtops and splashbacks, and walk-in pantries, and there’s even a private elevator that makes transporting groceries a breeze.

“Small boutique townhouse developments of this calibre, in tight-knit communities and so close to the ocean, are hard to come by,” he says. “It is expected that to live this close to the ocean you need to be in a large apartment building or in a house.”

The sprawling living spaces are ideal for relaxing and entertaining.

Beachside bliss

A mere 160 metres from the shoreline, Blanca and Madera offer a beachside lifestyle like no other. A leisurely stroll takes residents to the soothing waves, while the alluring aroma of coffee leads them to Piccolo Espresso by the beach. Returning home, they can rinse off the sand and sea in the private outdoor shower. Blanca and Madera epitomise seaside luxury, where nature seamlessly blends with everyday indulgence.

Miami Beach is a kilometre-long stretch of white sand and azure waters that’s ideal for swimming, surfing and sunbathing. The atmosphere is easy and laidback, due in part to the fact that Miami Beach isn’t swarming with tourists like others on the Gold Coast.

Just beyond the beach itself, there are restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping precincts and the popular Miami Marketta night market. There’s also playgrounds, parks, schools, childcare centres and the sprawling Pizzey Park sports precinct – making the area incredibly family-friendly, too.

The Blanca and Madera duplexes epitomise luxury coastal design.

Despite the duplexes’ proximity to the coast, residents can rest assured they won’t be in the centre of the hustle and bustle. Unlike some of the busier beachside locales on the Gold Coast, Miami boasts the enviable appeal of being centrally located but quiet.

“The appeal of Miami is its coastal location and the fact it isn’t as busy as suburbs like Broadbeach or Surfers Paradise,” says Cameron Kusher, Executive Manager of Economic Research at PropTrack.

Many residents move here to enjoy the suburb’s peaceful and friendly vibe – with a big proportion of the population made up of young professionals, downsizers and families – plus its proximity to other parts of the Gold Coast, including the airport, Burleigh Heads, Broadbeach and Tallebudgera Creek.

The community is a true gem that offers a tranquil escape from the busyness of everyday life. Whether you’re strolling along the sandy shoreline, engaging in water sports, or simply basking in the golden rays, Miami provides the perfect backdrop for making lasting memories.

“Miami Beach is more than a desirable postcode,” Macqueen says.

“It is a friendly, lifestyle-loving community on a pristine uncrowded beach. With a remarkable 50% longer average homeownership than nearby Burleigh and Mermaid, it’s clear that our residents have discovered a place they’re proud to call home, a place where roots run deep and a sense of belonging flourishes.”

Highlife’s reputation for quality

It’s little surprise that the Blanca and Madera duplexes are so aesthetically and functionally appealing.

Since the company launched in 2012, Highlife Homes has built a name for itself as a reputable designer, developer and builder.

Everything is executed in-house, from design through to construction, sales and handover. This allows the Highlife team to maintain a consistent vision and exemplary quality control across the entire development process.

Where design is concerned, the fact that it’s carried out internally means the Highlife team is able to imbue a sense of personalisation into every project.

“We design and curate these homes as if we are designing our own homes. Every little detail is as important as the larger design elements,” says MacQueen.

“Everything is thoughtfully chosen and reviewed at several stages to ensure we are using the best quality products and creating the most beautiful end result for the homeowners.”
