Sovereign Islands was a hive of activity this week with the filming of a $79 million screen production starring Annette Bening and Sam Neill.

26 – 34 Knightsbridge Parade East, Sovereign Islands was this week the backdrop of a $79 million screen production.
A stretch of Knightsbridge Pde East was blocked off to traffic after producers used Villa Vittoria — a mega mansion currently on the market with a $45 million price tag — as the backdrop for the TV adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s best-selling novel, Apples Never Fall.
Bening, a four-time Academy Award-nominated US actress, plays the role of Joy Delaney in the limited series production of Apples Never Fall, while Neill stars as her husband Stan.
Aussie author Moriarty serves as an executive producer of the psychological thriller, with Universal International Studios’ Matchbox Pictures managing the local production of the series for NBC Universal’s Peacock streaming service in the US.

Villa Vittoria has been on and off the market with different agents since October, 2019.
Vendor Riccardo Rizzi, a Perth-based civil engineer, put his hand up at a 2013 auction to purchase the property incomplete for $5.3m.
He has reportedly spent about $11m bringing it up to its current stage.

The mansion is modelled on a 100-year-old chateau and was designed by Brunei architect to the royals, Bayden Goddard.
It is set across three levels connected by a lift, with architectural features including soaring voids, spiral staircases and marble columns.
There’s a 25m pool, 12-car garage with car wash bay and nine bathrooms, while the entrance is graced by a 4m-tall statue of King Neptune.

Villa Vittoria is set on five blocks overlooking the Broadwater.
Set across five north-facing blocks on the Broadwater waterfront, it has six bedrooms and a private maids’ quarters, as well as a wellness suite with massage room, a Turkish bathhouse, gym and change room.
Real Estate agent Gemma White, of Professionals – Vertullo Real Estate, is behind the current marketing campaign of Villa Vittoria.
Set in Sydney, Apples Never Fall follows married couple Joy and Stan, who have sold their famed tennis Academy when Joy disappears, forcing their adult children to re-examine their family relationships.
