Labelled one of the state’s most photographed homes, they put the home up for sale at $4.3 million on September 23.
Within six days of the Deodar Drive home hitting the market for the second time, despite only settling in August, marketing co-agents Conal Martin of Kingfisher Realty and Ed Cherry of Harcourts Coastal had received eight offers.
“We only lived in it for about five weeks,” Mr Langston said.
“We moved out before we put it on the market.”

Lleyton and Bec bought The Palms last year.
Tennis royalty Lleyton Hewitt and his wife Bec splashed $4.305 million to secure The Palms.
“Even though we were living in Queensland’s home of the year 2021, we were homesick for Koala Park, so we found the perfect location in the same street we lived in previously and sold The Palms to the Hewitts,” Mr Langston said.
“It wasn’t about the money.
“We thought ‘we can have our dream house anywhere’ and this is not where we wanted it.
“We wanted to be in Koala Park and so we are building a beautiful house there now.
“We engaged the builder of The Palms, JG Design and Construct, and have just finalised the plans to build our dream home in the area we love.”
The house attracted national interest when it was on the market.
The Palms has had its fair share of publicity, with its build progress documented on Instagram before it became the most viewed house in Australia when it was first listed in May, 2021.
The Palm Springs-inspired home was designed and built by its original owner JSW Landscape and Design founder Jay Walker and his wife Emma.
The four-bedroom home on a 539sq m block is less than 100m from Burleigh’s famed Surf Beach, boutiques and cafes.

Designed around a central hub, it has an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area that flows on to an outside entertaining area with a sunken fireplace, glass-edged pool and outdoor kitchen.
It was originally sold fully furnished, with high-quality finishes including Italian terrazzo tiles, feature stone walls, Harbour American oak flooring and custom brass fittings.
