Luxury penthouses at Main Beach hit the market

Stunning penthouses cap a new landmark development at the heart of the Gold Coast.

A new luxury development, Belvedere at Main Beach, has released a duo of penthouse apartments — set to be the “jewels in the Belvedere crown”, says Karl Rameau, of Winten Property Group.

Winten Property Group has partnered with Queensland building institution Hutchinson Builders and with construction already seven months along — and more than 90% of apartments already sold — Belvedere is well on the way towards becoming a new beacon for luxury Main Beach living.

“Penthouses in Main Beach don’t come up very often — there are only a few projects in the area that are actually under construction with apartments available — so opportunities are scarce,” Rameau reveals.

“This is a rare chance to secure a luxurious home in the sky where every detail is stunning and precise.”

Covering the top two floors, the double-storey penthouses at Belvedere bring the ultimate in contemporary sophistication to Main Beach.

Gold Coast market keeps on shining

The unique penthouse offering is sure to cause a splash at the top end of the Gold Coast market.

Angus Moore, economist at, says one of the biggest trends to emerge from the pandemic was the surge in demand for luxurious lifestyle living.

Regional areas have been a prime beneficiary, with the Gold Coast the most-searched regional destination in the country between September 2020 to September 2021.

“Prices on the Gold Coast are up 26.4% over the past year,” Moore adds, explaining its significantly faster growth than the national average. In fact, prices are up more than 50% compared with pre-pandemic prices, according to the PropTrack Home Price Index.

Luxury apartments on the Gold Coast are appealing to a new cohort of buyers.

Another significant trend Moore identifies is a demand for more space, with spacious apartments in hot demand. Buyers are willing to pay a premium for dwellings that have larger floorplans, extra bedrooms, home offices and spacious balconies.

“That means larger, more expensive, dwellings have outperformed over the last two years,” Moore reveals.

Main Beach life

Rameau says that despite being so close to the heart of the Gold Coast, Main Beach has retained its exclusive coastal village sense of community.

“Main Beach is the Double Bay or Brighton of the Gold Coast,” Rameau says.

“Unlike other parts of the Gold Coast which are a bit more touristy, Main Beach is full of locals who love the relaxed coastal vibe and village-like atmosphere.

“If you head down to the beach or go out for a coffee, you’ll see the same local people up each day. It’s got a real sense of community — which is quite unique.”

While the local surf beach remains an iconic destination for surfers and sunbathers alike, the area is served by the retail and dining precinct at Tedder Avenue, which is lined with cafes, restaurants and boutique shops.

Gold Coast destinations such as the Southport Surf Club, Southport Yacht Club and Macintosh Island Park are an easy stroll away. Plus, the nearby light rail connection makes popping around a breeze.

“You really do have all the best the Gold Coast has to offer right at your doorstep,” Rameau adds.

Construction started seven months ago, with completion anticipated in late 2023.

At Belvedere, residents will also have access to a suite of exclusive amenities.

“A three-storey atrium and recreational lobby will feature resort-style amenities,” Rameau explains. That includes an exclusive heated lap pool and state-of-the-art gym facilities.

He adds that dining options include a chef’s kitchen and a five-star grand dining table, along with casual dining areas, private lounges and pool-side cocktails.

Sky high life

The name ‘Belvedere’ is derived from two Italian words, meaning ‘beautiful’ and ‘view’ — and the building more than lives up to its name, Rameau says.

“It doesn’t get much more beautiful than sunrise to sunset views over the ocean and Gold Coast hinterland,” he says.

For those looking for the ultimate luxury Gold Coast lifestyle, the Penthouse Collection at Belvedere will deliver premium coastal living, with seamless indoor and alfresco spaces that showcase the best of the stunning vistas.

Penthouse one is priced at $8,750,000, with penthouse two priced at $5,490,000.

The first two-level penthouse has four bedrooms, plus five-and-a-half bathrooms across 600sqm of living. An expansive rooftop entertainers terrace is capped by a private pool, spa and steam room.

A second penthouse on level 23 has four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms on 427sqm of living.

Both architecturally designed penthouses feature Gaggenau appliances, Brodware fixtures, Sub-Zero fridges and marble benchtops, each penthouse boasts spacious, open plan, indoor-outdoor living.

Rameau says the team behind Belvedere has drawn upon its vast wealth of experience to deliver a combination of world-class design, considered functionality and precision quality.

The Winten Property Group is family-owned and operated, with a premium portfolio developed over five decades. Meanwhile, ‘Hutchies’ is a 110-year-old company and one of Queensland’s biggest builders.

The result is a collection of penthouses that are the crowning jewels on a landmark development.

“This is an opportunity to be part of the rich history of Main Beach, on the largest new residential block in the area,” Rameau says.

“It’s shaping up to be something truly special.”
