8934 The Point Circuit, Sanctuary Cove has hit the market.
TOURING the world as international DJs has allowed brothers Ty and Jesse Taylor to experience some truly jaw-dropping places.
So when the pandemic hit and travelling came to a halt, the pair decided to incorporate their favourite holiday destinations into their dream home on the Gold Coast.
Gold Coast DJs Ty and Jesse Taylor, known as New World Sound, have listed their Gold Coast mansion. The feature stone wall in the lounge area.
“We’ve always worked together, travelled together, and made music together,” Ty said. “So right from the start when we bought this block, we did it together. We took the house from the design stage and through to the building stage and to where it is now.”

The brothers, who make up electronic DJ and record production duo New World Sound, bought the block in November, 2020, drawn to its water views.
“When we saw the block of land and especially the view, we fell in love with it straight away,” Ty said.
“We really wanted to bring some of our overseas experiences back to our home on the Gold Coast.”

They enlisted Unique Homes, a Burleigh Heads-based company, with the design and construction of the property.
The end result, completed in December, 2021, is a modern Mediterranean-inspired showstopper house named Asylo.
“Asylo is the Greek word for sanctuary,” Jesse said.
“When Ty said it we thought it was perfect as the house is in Sanctuary Cove and it’s our own little sanctuary. It’s really inspired by the look and feel of the Greek Islands.”

Curves and arches make a statement from the street while a custom solid oak front door welcomes you to the two-level residence.
Inside, there is a full height void and water views from almost every room which creates a bright and airy atmosphere throughout the home.
But it is the spectacular full-length feature stone wall that takes centre stage.
“We really wanted to do something a bit different to what you normally see here on the Gold Coast,” Ty said.

The house, which has a colour palette of beiges and whites paired with elements of stone and wood, comes together with pops of greenery including a 6m palm in the centre of the residence.
“There was a lot of decision-making around the colours,” Jesse said. “In one light a colour would look a certain shade and in another light it would look darker. We spent a lot of time choosing the perfect colours.”
No expense was spared on the design and build.
The kitchen dining and living area flows effortlessly out to the outdoor alfresco area that overlooks the pool and marina.
“Another goal we had was to bring the outdoors in,” Ty said.
“We really wanted to have that feeling where you walk in and you feel like you’re on holiday.
“We love to entertain and have mates around and this is the perfect house for that which is really cool.”

And if that wasn’t enough, there is also a glass-faced wine cellar on this level.
A solid oak staircase leads to the second level and four bedrooms including the main with a walk-in wardrobe and day-spa worthy ensuite.
Other features include a double garage with golf buggy park, ducted airconditioning and a security system.

Ty said every detail was meticulously chosen with no expense spared on finishes.
“The good thing working with each other, and obviously being brothers, is that if we disagreed on something, one of us would come back and say ‘you were probably right’,” Ty said.
“It was never a personal thing as we both wanted the same outcome – a house that we love and one that we hope other people love as much as we do.
“It all really came together well and it will be bittersweet to leave.”
The property is being marketed via expressions of interest through Ivy Realty.
