A luxury Palm Beach villa crowned the Gold Coast’s most viral home of the year has sold to an interstate buyer for $3.85m.
The eye-popping price was just shy of the $4m asking price for the one-of-a-kind villa at 136 Jefferson Lne.
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home was marketed by Ed Cherry, of Harcourts Coastal, and was among the most viewed homes on www.realestate.com.au when it hit the market in June.
Its coastal good looks also attracted plenty of attention from passers-by, including local bikini model Holly Cheesman, who was caught by security camera stripping down to a bikini to pose in front of the near-new home last month.

Owner-builder Nick McDonald, of Mactech Constructions, worked with celebrated designer Jayson Pate to conceive the on-trend duplex packed with showstopper features including an elevated glass-bottomed pool and cascading greenery.
Natural basque stone cladding, cement, sleek curves and contemporary lighting combine for maximum aesthetic appeal, while high raked ceilings peak at 4.6m on the top level of the three-storey build.
With 50 Coast projects to his name over the last 12 years, Mr McDonald aimed to create something extra special for himself and wife, Bridgette.
“The goal was to create something unique and different that is a bit of a showstopper,” Mr McDonald said.
“I was trying to bring that high-end luxury home into the duplex market.”

The couple lived in the home for 12 months before it was listed.
Mr Cherry said the property attracted inquiries from all over Australia, with interest even exceeding that received for The Palms — the Burleigh Heads property which was purchased by tennis champion Lleyton Hewitt and his wife Bec last year.
“Between Jefferson and On Heron, a Mermaid Beach project sold off the plan for $7.9m, Mactech has set the benchmark in design and style for duplex living on the Gold Coast, which is achieving a premium price that hasn’t been seen before,” Mr Cherry said.
“Jefferson was one of the most viewed properties throughout the campaign and certainly received a lot of traction on social media as well.
“But importantly, it’s the perfect lock-and-leave situation and at 480sq m it is one of the biggest duplexes available on the Gold Coast — it’s bigger than many family homes,” he said.

Plenty of spaces to relax
Named ‘Jefferson’ for its location along one of the southern Gold Coast’s trendiest beachside strips, the property has a walk-in wine tasting cellar, fully equipped gym, cinema room, attic rumpus room, home office, infrared sauna, and four-car basement garage.
Travertine stairs lead up to the ground floor living spaces and kitchen, which features a rendered island bench and latest SMEG appliances.
Glass stacker doors extend to an alfresco terrace with grassed area and onto the pool, and the home is fully automated, with keyless entry, and integrated sound system.
