Home of John Calleija, jeweller to the stars, to go under the hammer

The home of acclaimed international diamond jeweller John Calleija will go under the hammer.
Internationally renowned jeweller John Calleija is putting his listed Beach House on exclusive Ephraim Island up for auction.
The tri-level property is a gem, soaring to three levels and offering potential buyers the opportunity to acquire position, privacy and prestige in one of the Gold Coast’s most tightly held enclaves.
The tri-level home on Ephraim Island is a beauty.
Taking up a 661sq m block, the lot fans out at the rear to provide 30m of water frontage and panoramic views of the Broadwater across to South Stradbroke Island.
Constructed from solid concrete and finished to the highest standards, the ground floor features a soaring void with high set windows that deliver light-filled living spaces, which lead out to an alfresco entertaining space and heated infinity pool.

The basement level has parking for six cars along with a soundproof cinema and games room with a dry bar.
Boaties can securely moor up to a 65ft yacht with ease in the island’s marina, which can be conveniently seen from the property for added security.
Properties in Ephraim Island are tightly held.
Mr Calleija, who has owned his Ephraim home since 2017 when RP Data shows it went under contract at $3.795m, started his career as an apprentice jeweller in Sydney, before starting his own business and growing it into an international brand.
Based out of a workshop in Marina Mirage, Mr Calleija has stores in Sydney and London’s Mayfair, and his jewellery has been worn by celebrities and royalty.
Most recently Australian film producer Baz Lurhmann wore a Calleija ring to the premiere of his latest film, Elvis.

Featuring an incredibly rare 0.78ct Argyle pink tender, the ring, named Viva, was specially designed by Calleija to reflect the “King’s” style and to pay homage to Lurhmann’s movie, which was predominantly shot on the Gold Coast.
When Mr Lurhmann saw the ring, he fell in love and said he would be thrilled to wear it on the red carpet.
The heated infinity pool overlooks the Broadwater.
Ephraim Island, part of Paradise Point is the only development on the Gold Coast that is on its own island with bridge access to the mainland. It is made up of almost 400 apartments and features a 115-berth marina, restaurant, and day spa, with the rest of the island dedicated to open space.
Mr Calleija’s Beach House at 13 Ephraim Island Pde is being joint-marketed through Daniel Sharp of Kollosche and Shaun Kaddatz of Harcourts Coastal with the auction to be held on Saturday, July 23 at 1.30pm.
