19 Staysail Cres, Clear Island Waters has sold for $6 million.
A waterfront mansion with a link to the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series has sold under the hammer for $6 million, setting a new benchmark in one of Queensland’s most expensive markets.
The five-bedroom, five-bathroom trophy home on 1,125 sqm block at 19 Staysail Crescent, Clear Island Waters smashed the record for the top residential sale in the blue chip Gold Coast suburb by $1 million.
The property blends indoor-outdoor living.
Inside and every detail was meticulously planned.
Coastal agents Kyle Allen and Matt Lanyon took the property to auction over the weekend where it attracted eight registered bidders.
Mr Allen said bidding kicked off at $4.5m and then stalled at $5.2m before negotiations took place.
The hammer eventually fell with a Gold Coast buyer paying a record-breaking $6 million.
“With this particular property a lot of people were curious to see where it went and having the result at the end blew a lot of people away,” Mr Allen said.
“Clear Island Waters is a sleeping giant and I believe we’ve woken the suburb up.”
