Hollywood Hills meets the Gold Coast Hinterland in Tallai mansion

233 The Panorama, Tallai.
HOLLYWOOD Hills meets the Gold Coast Hinterland in this Palm Springs-inspired oasis.
The tri-level mansion, which underwent a recent renovation, is owned by Brad and Tracey Welton.
The pair, who are no strangers to building and renovating properties on the Coast, bought the property May, 2021.
The couple, who have three children – Sunny, 12, Bently, nine, and Harvey, five — said the five-bedroom house on Tallai’s most well known-street The Panorama, had great potential.
Curves set the scene from the outside.

“It had really good bones,” said Mr Welton, who runs construction company Bradwell Constructions.
“There was nothing wrong with the house, we just knew what we could do with it.”
Fast-forward to today and the Hinterland estate on 4.5ha has been completely transformed.
Curves, pillars and arches set the scene form the outside while a feature stackstone wall welcomes you to the house.
Stackstone features walls are a common theme.
Inside and the stackstone continues, paired with blue gum timber floors, floor to ceiling windows, timber batten walls and bespoke pendant lighting.
Your eyes are drawn to the city view — the rolling green Hinterland through to the high-rises of Surfers Paradise, out to the ocean and down to Burleigh Headland.
“You can even see cruise ships on clear days,” Mrs Welton said.
“Every room has got a view.”
The kitchen.
An entertainer’s dream, there are multiple outdoor balconies and terraces as well as a games room, top-floor-retreat, wine room, gym and steam room.
Feel like you’re a million miles away as you laze by the pool with a stage podium, raised decking, built-in seating and barbecue area.
“You actually feel like you’re on holidays when you’re out here,” Mrs Welton said.
“I was having a drink out here the other day and I was telling someone ‘you just feel like you’re at a Bali resort’.”
The dining room.
Back inside and the kitchen, which takes advantage of the city outlook, has a large island, Caesarstone benchtops, Miele appliances including two ovens, servery to balcony and butler’s pantry.
A formal dining and sitting room with balcony access is also on this level as well as the main bedroom with Juliette balcony, walk-in wardrobe and freestanding bath.
“We’ve had some great poker nights in there,” Mr Welton said.
The games room with wood fireplace, built-in bar and three Vintec wine fridges has been a favourite space for the couple.
An entertainer’s paradise.
There are four other bedrooms including three with ensuites.
Other standout features include the original spiral staircase with white wrought iron railings, 100-year-old front doors, and an additional kitchen on ground floor.
Surrounded by terraced gardens, native trees and shrubs, the estate offers the chance the chance to enjoy a tree-change in luxury surroundings.
The property is being sold through Brad Coyne of Kollosche — Broadbeach via expressions of interest.
Style at every turn.
