Embattled Instagram influencer’s mansion sold at auction

The luxurious Hamptons style mansion of embattled Qld influencer Tyson Scholz, known as ASX Wolf, has sold at auction Monday night, gaining hundreds of thousands in less than a year.

Real estate agent James Drake of Ray White Sovereign Islands, who took the property to auction at a prestige event at Sheraton Mirage on the Gold Coast, confirmed a $4.61m price was accepted under the hammer. It was a $310,000 gain on the price Mr Scholz had paid 11 months ago.

The estate was put up by S Capital World after the December 2022 finding by the Federal Court in Brisbane that Mr Scholz breached laws by offering share tips and advice via social media without an Australian financial services licence. The matter is still in court, with a hearing on relief scheduled for April 13, 2023.

The property is in a gated community and has its own jetty.

The striking entry way.

Mr Scholz’s five bedroom, five bathroom, six car space property with buggy parking drew strong interest, attracting three bidders before the doors even opened Monday night – two on the phone and one in person.

The “finfluencer”, who reportedly had over 20,000 followers and portrayed an extravagant lifestyle on social media with sports cars, speedboats, jets and holidays, had bought the mansion for $4.3m just over 11 months ago.

Property records show the price Mr Scholz paid last year was a massive $2.1m more than the previous owner had forked out for the estate in mid January 2020, just before Covid-19 wreaked havoc in Australia.

The mansion comes with vast open living spaces, gourmet kitchen with butler’s pantry, seven seat home cinema, Italian marble floors that includes the type used in the Sistine Chapel, a fully kitted out outdoor kitchen, a pool house, large jetty, separate pool solar heating, solar heating, security cameras and outdoor spa.
