55 Rapallo Ave, Isle of Capri is for sale with a price tag of $4.995 million.
Rachel Roberts has mastered the art of stress-free parenting with three teenage daughters by crafting a home so enticing they never want to leave it.
“We always want to be the house they invite their friends to,” Ms Roberts said.
“You sleep better when you know they’re under your roof at night not out and about.
“I’d rather them have a party here than go to a party and that was definitely at the back of my mind at every step of this build.”
Rachel Roberts designed the house for her three teenage daughters.

Once glance at the four-bedroom, four-bathroom masterpiece on the Isle of Capri and you can see why it’s an ideal venue for all entertaining occasions.
Set upon a super-sized 1034 sqm north-facing waterfront block with dazzling skyline views spanning Surfers Paradise, the palatial home is packed with high-class features.

The wish list of Ms Roberts’ three daughters was front and centre when she finetuned the design.
“To keep teenage girls happy, they all want their own bathroom,” she said.
“And they want a walk-in-robes and room for a desk, but we also needed spaces that the kids could entertain in that was separate to the adults.
“The extra-large room at the back can be used as a billiard room, games room or media room with stacker doors that connect it to outside – things like this make all the difference for young people who like to party.”
There is plenty of space to entertain.
While executive level – the home is effortless to take care of, she said.
Featuring warm European oak floors, timeless VJ and dado panelling, a spacious kitchen, and a butler’s pantry, every room was crafted for practical everyday functionality.
But practicality can come with class, and luxe fittings abound.
There’s pendant lighting, custom cabinetry, a coffered ceiling in the lounge, oversized picture windows and indulgent wet areas.
High ceilings allow plenty of light to filer through.
And although parenting is a non-stop job, the adults are just as well catered to as the youngsters when it comes to spaces to unwind.
“For us, we built the upstairs terrace to maximise the view so we can sit out there in the evening with a glass of wine,” she said.
“In summer we’ll have the cricket on up there and we can watch over the kids while being in our own space.
“It is so peaceful and calm on the water.”
With a number of serious builds under her belt, Ms Roberts saw the 55 Rapallo project as a culmination of her prior learnings.
“We took a lot of the knowledge that we’ve picked up along the way to really put some special features in here that we know the next owners will truly appreciate,” she said.
“We’ve invested a lot into the landscaping to ensure its low maintenance with a coastal resort vibe, with functional usable spaces for children of all ages – it’s a terrific home for visitors.”
