8089 Riverside Drive, Sanctuary Cove.
The beauty and excitement of one of the Gold Coast’s most iconic waterways is on full display at a contemporary five-bedroom home in a sought-after Sanctuary Cove location.
Boasting direct waterfront access and views across the Coomera River to the nature refuge beyond, 8089 Riverside Drive spans two storeys and features a swimming pool, manicured gardens, and a newly refurbished boat pontoon.
The property faces the Coomera River.

Leonie and Brad Millar purchased the property in 2021 after being drawn to its position and private location.
“We were downsizing from acreage, and this property offered a fabulous north-facing waterfront position that was so unique,” Mrs Millar said.
“It’s on a quiet cul-de-sac where you have the river on one side and then on the street side you overlook a park. And it’s beautiful, with stunning gardens, and a boutique street where you’re surrounded by all these architecturally designed and built houses.”

The house has some serious street style.
Mrs Millar noted a true highlight of the home was its connection to the water.
“You can fish and crab in the river right at your own back door and watch the dolphins,” she said.
“And then there’s the theatre of everyone going from Coomera to Tipplers and back.
“From million-dollar yachts to tinnies, it’s always changing and is such great entertainment.”
The pontoon.
The property is designed around that waterfront vista, with the L-shaped swimming pool, entertaining areas, and open-plan kitchen and lounge all looking directly out to the water and Coomera Island beyond.
“The pool is such a feature at night when it’s lit up as it feels like you’re surrounded by water,” Mrs Millar said.
“And the reserve across the river makes it feel so peaceful.”
Upstairs, the spacious master suite with its private balcony also enjoys the island and water vistas.
“The master bedroom is quite palatial and has full waterfront views,” Mrs Millar said.

The four additional bedrooms have their own ensuites and walk-in robes. Mrs Millar said it made for a great family home.
“When our daughter comes over with the grandchildren, there’s ample space for everyone,” she said. “And it’s a house that’s built to last.”
The property’s size and layout make it ideal for entertaining, offering both indoor and outdoor areas for guests to gather in or retreat to.
“Everyone spills in and out effortlessly. Everyone enjoys the river. It’s such an added bonus when you have a gathering to look out and see what’s happening on the water.”
The kitchen.
During their time at the residence, the Millars have made improvements to the property’s exterior, including landscaping, repainting the joinery, redoing the decking, and also replacing the 14m boat pontoon.
The result is a low-maintenance, easy care property that’s designed to stand the test of time. “When we bought it, we knew it was a well-built house,” Mrs Millar said.
“And it’s surrounded by big ticket houses in a highly sought after position.”

Mrs Millar said residing there had further cemented the couple’s love for the suburb.
The property goes to auction on January 25 through Matt Gates of Ray White Sanctuary Cove.
