A SPRAWLING mega mansion on the Gold Coast’s Sovereign Islands has changed hands for $8m in the second highest sale of the year on the luxury enclave this year.
A Brisbane buyer bought the property, at 45 Knightsbridge Parade West, with the deal settling on Thursday.
45 Knightsbridge Pde West, Sovereign Islands has sold for $8 million.
There’s plenty of space in this four-level mansion.
The sale sits behind 16-18 Parklane Terrace which changed hands earlier this year for $9.6 million.
Ivy Realty’s Ivy Wu and Issac Kim were behind the marketing campaigns of both properties.
“It’s a great result considering 45 Knightsbridge sits on a single block,” Mr Kim said.
“The buyer walked in and just fell in love with it.
“The contract was actually signed some time ago but it was a long settlement.

Mr Kim said he had two other potential buyers who were keen to make an offer on the property if the contract fell through.
Property records reveal the vendor paid $6.98 million for the property in April, 2019 before listing it for sale in March, 2022.
The house is on a 742sq m block and has a whopping 1,375sq m of living space which has been designed to take advantage of the Broadwater and Hinterland views.
Is there a better spot to entertain?
It comes with 24m of water frontage and a place to moor a large yacht alongside its 15m pontoon.
Six bedrooms offer privacy and comfort for an extended family or visiting friends, while the numerous living and entertaining spaces are ideal spots to come together.
As soon as you step into the house it gives you that wow factor,” Mr Kim said.
What an entrance!
My Kim said the prestige market was still achieving great results, despite a market shift in recent months.
“At the moment when people come to me and say they’ve got $6 or $7 million to spend, there just isn’t enough properties to show them,” he said.
“There’s a real shortage of stock in the prestige market.
The kitchen overlooks the Broadwater.
“We are still getting a lot of inquiries from interstate families – they are prearranging inspections before they arrive.
“Their intention is to buy and relocate from Sydney or Melbourne and secure a house for their family to move into before Christmas.”
Ivy Reality was also behind the sale of nearby 11 Hampton Court, Sovereign Islands, which sold for $6.2 million this month.
