A $10.3m beach house is set to change hands in October.
A luxury beach house valued at $10.3 million and filled with more than $300,000 worth of furniture and appliances is set to be given away in the biggest home lottery ever seen in Australia.
The 535sqm beachfront home in the Gold Coast enclave of Currumbin will be the prize in a draw by veterans’ charity RSL Art Union, with tickets priced from $5.
All water and rates charges will be covered for the first year and the new owner will also get a $2000 travel voucher.

Epic Sydney ‘Batman house’ returns
The architect-designed home on Darwalla Ave has uninterrupted ocean views from all of the three levels. There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms plus two powder rooms.
The Currumbin beach house is fully furnished.
Downstairs is an open kitchen with a butler’s pantry and living/dining space where the new owners can soak up the views.
Glass doors open up to a breezy beachside deck and barbecue area with a plunge pool, outdoor shower and direct beach access.
There is also a light-filled study area, second living space with beachfront balcony, and a stunning top-floor terrace and master suite with more breathtaking views.
The estimated rental return for those who would prefer to lease the home out is a whopping $171,600 a year.
There is direct beach access.
It has a designer interior.
The draw will close September 28 or when the tickets run out. RSL Art Union confirmed nearly three quarters of the tickets have sold so far. The draw will take place October 5. Tickets are available on the group’s website.
RSL Art Union General Manager Deborah Pescott said it was proving a popular draw and was attracting interest from around the country.
“Remote working is more popular today than it has ever been, and I can’t imagine a better view from your home or your ‘workplace’,” she said.
“This lottery doesn’t just benefit the winner, but in fact also benefits many veterans and their families,” Ms Pescott added.
The entertainment area has sweeping views.
“Funds raised go towards programs that provide employment and scholarships for veterans and their families, as well as programs that address homelessness and support groundbreaking PSTD research.”

The ‘working class’ suburbs still recording growth
The Currumbin house is one of only 15 beachfront blocks in the suburb.
RSL Art Union revealed that the designer interior combines modern lines and statement curves. Soft textures and high-end finishes feature throughout – from timber floors to polished glass.
Black metal accents echo the home’s striking architecture, while natural tones and rich blue highlights complement the spectacular coastal backdrop.
