Glamour photographer lists sexy skyhome studio in Australia’s tallest tower

Spectacular views from the Q1 apartment
A GLAMOUR photographer has listed the Surfers Paradise apartment she used as a spectacular skyhome studio.
Breathtaking views from the 69th floor of the Q1 building provided a backdrop of sparkling coastline by day or twinkling lights by night for clients to have boudoir-style photos taken at the quintessentially Gold Coast location.
The sub-penthouse apartment at 6901/9 Hamilton Ave, Surfers Paradise in Australia’s tallest tower is marketed for sale by Kollosche agents, Sam Guo and Julia Kuo, via an expressions of interest campaign.
Owner Analisa Corr purchased the three-bedroom, two-bathroom unit in June 2021 and described the property as “a private sanctuary in the clouds”.

“The light in the apartment is so beautiful, there’s always sun flowing through,” she said.
“There’s spectacular sunsets and shooting at night, you have the incredible skyline lights as a background.
“This adds such a cosmopolitan feel. Then thunderstorms add a dramatic feel too.”
The property occupies a north-east position with uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean, city skyline, Main River and beyond.
“We are so high you can actually see the curve of the earth,” Ms Corr said.

Different backgrounds and light changed the mood
She converted areas within the unit as different sets, adding a greenery wall and embellished wallpaper.
“Everyone even outside of the Gold Coast knows where the Q1 is,” Ms Corr said.
“As a prestigious building, it draws lots of clients in who want glamorous shots in a sub-penthouse overlooking iconic beaches and the high rises of Surfers, that typical Gold Coast vibe.
“Our incredible view has been on the front of magazines, too.”
Ms Kuo said the apartment’s central Surfers Paradise location offered potential for investors as a “high-income producing asset”.
“This is a rare opportunity as there’s only a handful of sky homes at this elevation in the country,” Ms Kuo said.

The floorplan spans 232sq m, with an open-plan living and dining area leading onto an enclosed balcony for year-round entertaining, and the kitchen and family room can be closed off to create two separate living areas.
The modern kitchen has a 3.3m stone island bench, two dishwashers and built-in appliances, while all bedrooms have views and built-in robes. The master bedroom is particularly spacious and has an ensuite.

Ms Corr’s clients were mostly everyday women seeking the transformative experience of a studio photo shoot.
“Every shoot is so special as it empowers the client so much,” Ms Corr said.
“They go through a total transformation during my shoots and especially seeing their photos.
“I’ve had clients cry with happiness and surprise when they see their photos. It’s a really cathartic experience, bringing their own kind of beauty out.”

Ms Corr said she and her partner James were considering buying into a new-build but found most were too small with no completion date.
“Q1 represented excellent value in a booming location,” she said.
Residents in the pet-friendly building have use of shared facilities including three pools, a cinema, lounge area, gym, spa and sauna rooms as well as ground-floor shopping and restaurants.
