Matt Micallef, who was filmed singing and dancing in a zany Dogeball-inspired film spoof for a property video, has opened his own business.
A GOLD Coast real estate agent turned reality TV contestant who is known for his wacky marketing videos has opened his own business.
Ray White agent Matt Micallef this week launched Ray White TMG on the Gold Coast.
“As a business owner, I have and will continue to bring a creative, highly skilled, fun and authentic approach to the Gold Coast real estate market and the industry as a whole,” he said.
“Being able to improve people’s quality of life is my number one priority.”
Matt Micallef recently sold 13 Earle Court, Tallai for $2.075 million.

Mr Micallef said his creative property videos helped make his clients’ properties stand out from the crowd, create awareness and attract more buyer engagement.
“What the videos allow me to do is build a better quality rapport with buyers so our rapport at open homes and transactions is much more authentic than if I was just an agent wearing a slick suit and tie,” he said.
“If you enjoy your job then you will never work another day in your life and going through school, I was a drama student and really enjoyed the acting side so I decided to take that side of me into the marketing aspect.”

In 2021, he created a viral video to sell an Upper Coomera estate where he was filmed singing and dancing in a zany Dogeball-inspired film spoof.
Mr Micallef appeared as Forrest Goodman — loosely based on the character of White Goodman from the 2004 comedy starring Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughan.
“Did someone say peaks, or pecs?” Mr Micallef says to the camera, jiggling the latter beneath his shiny blue and pink lycra getup before ditching the gear altogether to appear naked for the video’s final scene.
Last year he turned to reality TV in a bid to show that “not all estate agents are bad”.

Mr Micallef was a contestant on Channel 10’s The Traitors, which involved a group of 24 players, known as the “faithful”, working through challenges and surviving eliminations to win up to $250,000.
Mr Micallef said he was approached to audition for the show.
“I didn’t actually apply, a talent scout approached me via Instagram,” he said.
“My property videos are unique and entertaining, so they obviously saw those and reached out.
“I’m a huge risk-taker in life so I just decided to go through the interview process.”

Since starting in the real estate industry more than six and a half years ago, Mr Micallef has sold more than $333 million dollars worth of real estate.
“We are essentially in control of hundreds of thousands of dollars of someone’s money they have worked their whole life for,” he said.
“The words that come out of our mouth and how to respond in conversation and more importantly negotiation is paramount.”
Ray White TMG has a newly opened office in Emerald Lakes at Carrara.
Mr Micallef previously worked at Ray White Robina.
