Talk about curb appeal — this Burleigh home’s incredible collection of rare cars has hearts racing.
The $2.45 million listing for 13 Mustique Ct, Burleigh Waters doesn’t include the owner’s prized Team Australia Indy car, or his replica 1974 Can-Am McLaren in signature tangerine orange.
But a Sydney-based buyer came to inspect the five-bedroom property with a customised garage and instead bought both cars.

The two-storey home on a 749sq m block is marketed by Lee McFarlane, of Ray White, and passed in at auction last week.
Mr McFarlane said the owner, a former race car driver in the 1960s, was downsizing.
“An interstate buyer came to inspect the property three times, but eventually settled on something else. He was a motoring enthusiast and purchased two of the owner’s vehicles,” Mr McFarlane said.
He didn’t disclose the sale price for the Indy car, which had raced on the Surfers Paradise street circuit for Indy 300 in 2005 with Marcus Marshall at the wheel.
The distinctive green-and-gold car had been restored to its original glory after it crashed and wound up in an auction house around 12 years ago.

Mr McFarlane said the beautifully maintained home was conveniently located in a growth area, close to Stockland Burleigh Heads shopping centre and a host of local amenities, as well as being just minutes to Burleigh beach.
It has an open-plan kitchen, casual dining and family room on the ground floor as well as living and dining areas, an office and covered alfresco terrace.
The owner extended the garage to house his collection, including a replica C-Type Jaguar imported from the UK
Upstairs are the bedrooms including a luxurious master suite with walk-in robe plus another spacious living area.
The owner had extended the garage to run the length of the home and accommodate up to eight cars as well as his extensive collection of motorsport memorabilia.
A gleaming white replica C-Type Jaguar was among vehicles remaining at the property.

The short-lived Team Australia motor racing group was formed in 2005 by prominent businessmen, Craig Gore and John Fish.
From 1991 to 2008, the iconic Indy Carnival was synonymous with the Glitter Strip and each year saw hordes of revellers, celebrities and the motoring industry turn out for a weekend of colourful street racing.
